Betsy's Blossom

Hi everyone!  I wanted to show you another card that I made using bits and pieces that I had laying about on my craft table.  I used a new embossing folder for another card but didn't like the way the card was going, so I just laid it off to the side, same goes for the bird shape and the punched out piece behind it.  I used my color coach to give me a guide and this is what I came up with.  Not the greatest but certainly not the worse either, lol.  You just never know what you will come up with sometimes.

Stippled Blossoms

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great Wednesday, I am!
Today I want to share a card that I found over on the demonstrators website called Stampin Connection.  Well I can't link you to that card but I did go blog surfing and found the original creators blog so that I could share her card with you!  HERE is the link to her card, just scroll down a wee bit to see it.  Isn't it beautiful!  Oh I was so glad that I put that stamp set on my last order.  Now I didn't use the same colors as hers, I didn't have them, so I used what I had on hand.  I just love how well it turned out and it is using the Triple Time Technique that is so hot right now!  You can see how different it is from the one I made earlier this month HERE.  Then I decided to make one for a birthday that I need a card for
I think my friend will enjoy receiving this one!

Nature's Walk Thinking of You Card

Hi, I bet you think I posted this card twice don't you!  Well, I had some extra stamped fronts from the swaps I made and needed to make a quick thinking of you card, so for this one I added a few little extras to the front.  I embossed one side with one of the new Delicate Designs folders, then I added a few rhinestones and some 1/8" Pretty In Pink taffeta ribbon.  I probably should have used some wider ribbon but just didn't think of it at the time.  I'm sending this to one of my high school friends who has alot of health issues at this time, hope it cheered her up some!

I am A Pattern Mixing Pro

Hi everyone!  I hope that your day is going as well as mine is, it did cool off, some, but not much.

Today I want to share a project that was a class that I took at convention, called I am A Pattern Mixing Pro.  Now I did get some good tips and ideas, but no way I'm I a pro either.  Now I didn't finish this in the class because I didn't want my flowers to get smashed in my suitcase, so I finished it when I got home.  I think it turned out really cute and decided to hang it in one of our bathrooms, one that doesn't get too much use anymore now that the girls are out of the house, so I don't have to worry about the humidity ruining it either.
All items except the paint, sponge brush and canvas are from Stampin' Up!

Canvas is 9" by 12"
Paint is Plaid-Sky Blue
Stamp: Distressed Dots, Lacy & Lovely
Ink: Rose Red and Tangerine Tango

Lovely as a Tree Welcome

Welcome to all of my blogging friends!  I'm so glad that you stopped in to visit with me today!

Here is a card that I made for a friend who recently moved into a new rental house.  Since he is a man I went to my most manly stamp set, Lovely As A Tree, Love It!!  This set has so many uses, I hope they don't retire it for quite awhile too!  Now I have a little story about this card, you see all of the lines on the front?  Well, right after I got all done with it, I was putting away my black ink pad and of course ole butter fingers had to drop it, with the ink side down, and it left a nice black line!  Oh my was the air blue in the craft room that night!!  I really didn't want to start all over as I needed it the next day, of course, so the idea just popped into my head that said, "just put some more lines on it to make it look rustic and old."  So that is what I did and after I was done it looked like I had planned it that way!  Whew!  Have any of you done that?  As a little gift we gave him some flowers and some tile coasters that I stamped too.

Today I want to share a picture of my three new friends whom I meet at the hotel where we were staying! They were nice enough to let me become a part of their group and we had alot of fun too!! From left to right: Patti Miller, Anne Venci and Caron Carbone. Patti and Anne live in KY and Caron lives in DE. We've all agree to do a monthly swap between the three of us and can't wait to receive their wonderful cards in the mail each month too!

This picture was taken at Stampin' Up!, the pick line, behind them, is where they fill the orders. It was cool to be able to tour the Riverton facility and to see where all the ideas happen and also to see Demo Support too! While there I also was able to talk to fellow demo, Lee Conrey!! What a sweet lady she is and she won the Heart of Stampin' Up! award just a few nights later. I'm sorry that I didn't get my picture with her, maybe next year!      Mary
