All Dressed Up #1

Well here we are again with a new week starting and another Dress that I created!  I told you I had alot of fun playing with this set.  Now before I go rambling on, there has been some confusion about this framelit set and the way it is shown in the Spring catalog.  You are able to purchase just the framelit set by itself without having to purchase the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts or the Dress Form Pop 'n Cuts die.  The framelit will work without those two items.  There is also a stamp set that will work with the framelits if you choose to have that to.  If you want the framelit set and the stamp set, it is sold as a bundle and you can save 15% (wood-131096, clear-131095).  If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment and I will get back to you!

I made this card for one of my aunt's who will be having a birthday soon, I think she will enjoy this.  She told me that she keeps all the cards I send to her on a shelf above her desk at her house, sweet!

Swallowtail

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful day today.  It is cold and going to get rainy/snowy/icy tomorrow, take your pick, that is how our weather is here in Missouri, ever changing!

Today's card was an experiment with heat embossing powders.  While it didn't turn out the way I wanted it too, I hate the idea of throwing away card stock too.  I was bad and forgot to use my embossing buddy so I had some strays on the front of the card, so to "hide" them I used my spritzer tool and added even more dots to the background.  Mission accomplished, can't see my strays at all!  I used this as a get well cards for a fellow demonstrator who just had knee replacement surgery.  You can click on the picture to see the image better.

Products used:

Stamp: Swallowtail (w) 129213, (c) 129216 (Spring Catalog 2013)
Card stock: Basic Black 121045, Very Vanilla 101650, Elegant Eggplant 105126
Marker: Elegant Eggplant

Well I hope the weather goes around us and we miss all the icy stuff, the snow I don't mind,  Mary.

You Are

Good day to the start of this week.  I hope you all had a great week-end, I spent most of my time in the craft room, so relaxing and fun.  I made some cards and did some sewing too, nice!

This is a card that I made to send to a young lady who is going thru some health issues and her grandmother ask for cards of encouragement for her.  I received this set at convention last year and it has a lot of good sentiments that are very empowering!  I made it to look like the wildly popular chalkboard.  I hope she likes it!

Happy Healing

Hello, hello, hello, to all of you!  Boy sometimes it is so hard to figure out how to start my blog post, don't what them to be all the same, that would be boring!

Here is a card that I made for one of my clients, she called last week and told me not to come as she had the dreaded flu, ugh.  So I wanted to make a card for her to cheer her up and I think this little guy will do the trick.  He is so cute!  This is another e-bay find and the price the seller was asking for it was WAY to much, so I offered her half of what she was asking, thinking I would not get it and by golly, she sold it too me!  It is an older set, I believe it's copyright said 1999.  I think my friend will be surprised to receive this in the mail.

Meow,Meow

Hi, I hope your week has been going along smoothly. Not too much going on in my neck of the woods either.

Well, I found out last week that my cousin lost her cat, her cat was 18 years old.  It's always so hard to lose our fur babies and I wanted her to know that I was thinking of her.  The stamp set I used is retired and I found it on e-bay awhile back.  I have a dog stamp set that is similar to this one too.  I try to find animals stamp sets just in case I need to make a pet sympathy card.  My cousins cat was gray, so that is what I colored this one in with.  I did use a blender pen so that I could do some shading on the cat.  I used markers to color the images in with.

Products used:

Card stock: Elegant Eggplant 105126, Whisper White 100730, Pear Pizzazz (retired)

Dress Up Framelits Dies

Good Monday morning to all of you, I hope you didn't all blow away (at least here in KCMO).  It was so windy all day yesterday.  I hope those of you that had snow are all safe and warm too!

Today I'm sharing a card that I had so much fun making!  Now I'm a child of the 50's and growing up in the 60's I had paper dolls to play with along with Barbie and Ken too.  This frame lit set was so much fun to play with and to think I serious consider not getting it!  Boy, I'm so glad that I did, the possibilities with this set are really endless.  Now I did get the stamp set that coordinates with this framelit set, but I haven't gotten around to using that yet.  I wish you could see this in person, it's just too darn cute.  It appeals to the little girl inside of all us big girls :).  You will be seeing more of this set in the future too.

Products used:

Card stock: Very Vanilla 101650, Midnight Muse 126843 Basic Gray 121044
Designer Series Paper: Print Poetry 129312 (current Spring Catalog)

Hershey's Shamrocks

Good Friday morning to all of you!

As you can see I've been busy playing with card stock and Hershey's Kisses again!  Aren't these three leaf and four leaf clovers not the cutest thing ever?!  Once again I found these wonderful little gems over on Brenda Quintana's blog, Qbee Quest, you can find the tutorial HERE.  I made these to give to a couple of my clients that I know will enjoy receiving them.

I hope you all have a great week-end too, off to do some more crafting.......Mary
