St. Louis Regional Make & Take #2

Good afternoon to all.  Today the sun is finally out here and melting some of the snow we got last week -end.  Will Spring weather ever get here?  Gee, Sunday is Easter!  Do all of you have your Easter bunny goodies?  We gave the girls there baskets already, yes even at almost 30 and 28, they still enjoy getting one!  The Easter bunny is too good to them!

Here is a card that we made at the St. Louis Regionals last Saturday.  You take a spray bottle or mister, fill it up 3/4 of the way with 70% rubbing alcohol, a drop or two of reinker, shake and mist your card with it.  Did you know that you can color white ribbon with it too?!  To get the circles on the front, just take a scrap of card stock, whatever size circle punch you want and punch here and there on the card stock.  Lay it on top of another piece of card stock and spritz it to get the desired look you want, it dries very quickly too.  While you have the punch out, punch on either side of your base, then take some baker's twine and wrap it around your card as many times as you like, thread the twine thru a button and tie a bow.  Before you do that, you need to stamp and adhere your card stock strips.  Pretty fast card too!

Products used:

Card stock: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Pool Party
Stamp sets: Clockworks and One in a Million
Ink Pad: Basic Gray
Pool Party Baker's Twine
Naturals Designer Buttons
Glue Dots
Snail Adhesive
1" Circle Punch
Gumball Green Reinker
Stampin' Spritzer page 179 in the catalog, get two

Well this is my share today, hope to be back tomorrow to show some more!   Mary

Note Pad Cover

Well good Monday afternoon to all of you!  I'm so glad to see you all again!  I hope if you had snow that you are all safe and warm too!  I think we had about 8 1/2 inches where we are, I know some places had alot more.

Well on Friday morning I boarded the Amtrack and rode the train down to St. Louis, Missouri to attend the regionals that Stampin' Up! held.  I had a fun time but had to cut my time there short because of the expected snow storm.  It was hard to believe that the weather was getting ready to snow in Kansas City while in St. Louis it was sunny and in the 50's!  I did get to stay for most of the day but had to leave the regional at 2:30 pm to get to the hotel and pack and check out.  Man the train station was packed with people coming back too!  I made it home before the really heavy stuff started.  I got home around 8:50 pm Saturday night, boy I was tired too!

Here is one of the Make & Takes that we got to do at Regionals, very easy to do too!

Products used:

Card stock: Whisper White, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, More Mustard, Pool Party and Basic Gray
Stamp set: Clockworks and One in a Million
Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons

Calypso Coral Baker's Twine

Simply Sent is now Available for your Android Phones

HERE is the link to Google Play for the Simply Sent.  It's alot of fun to make mini layouts on your phone and send them to your friends!

As a refresher, we'll repeat what we said last fall: it's not My Digital Studio on a mobile device, not even close. This scaled-back version will only give customers a taste of what they can create when they buy MDS. We want to get our name and our art out there so more people than ever before will know about Stampin' Up!

That's all for now!  Mary

My Digital Studio New Price

We've been working on some big changes to the My Digital Studio product line, and we just can't contain ourselves anymore.
Starting today:
  1. We've changed the name of the software from MDS 2 (and MDS 2+) to MDS.
  2. We've lowered the price. What has been known as MDS 2+ is now $19.95 US/$24.95 CAN.
Coming soon:
  1. The upgrade will be free! If you (or your customers) have been holding onto the original My Digital Studio software, they will be able to upgrade to the new software for free. We will let you know when it is available. We have discontinued the item number for the MDS 2 Upgrade (item 130650), so if your customers ask, let them know that the upgrade will be available soon for free.
  2. We have announced that My Digital Studio will soon be available to our friends in Australia and New Zealand.
Other information:
  • Check the My Digital Studio product pages on demonstrator website for updated information.
  • MyDigitalStudio.net is currently under construction as we make all of the changes. Just keep in mind that you may see outdated information for awhile.
  • We will remove the My Digital Studio Catalog at the end March from MyDigitalStudio.net. If you would like to keep of copy of it, go grab it before then. As we announced last fall, we have not been maintaining this file and since it so outdated, we feel like it's time to delete it.
  • We understand that when a price changes after you have made a recent purchase it can be frustrating. If you (or your customers) purchased the software at the old price from March 1 to March 17, 2013, the following will be added to your Download Manager by Wednesday, March 20:
    MDS 2+ or MDS 2
    • Up To Date Planner Template (item133271, retail value $14.95 US/$18.50 CAN)
    • Hello There Kit (item 133374, retail value $9.95 US/$12.50 CAN)

Spring Sampler

Good Friday morning to all of you!  Yesterday in our neck of the woods, it was absolutely gorgeous!!  It got up to 73 degrees and makes us all wish spring was here now!  On Wednesday, I was able to bring hubby home from the hospital, his stay was a week long.  Alot of running back and forth too, luckily we live about three miles from the hospital, so not to bad.  He is recovering slowly and slowly introducing solid food back into his diet.  Tomorrow I'm going to make a big pot of chicken noodle soup and some chicken salad for him.  Than make some mashed potatoes too.

Here is a card that I had finished before he went to the hospital but didn't have time to upload here.  This is the card I will send to my daughters for Easter, Clean and Simple.  I didn't put a sentiment on the front because I think they can tell what type of card it is, besides I didn't want to stamp Happy Easter on the front and on the inside too.  I don't have very many Easter stamps.

Products used:

All Dressed Up Revisited

Surprise everyone, I had time to make a card the other day before hubby's surgery and also to help me de-stress too.  He is doing much better now that they have him on a different pain medicine, he had a rough night last night, so hopeful he will sleep better and relax better too!

I found a request over on Splitcoaststampers from a man that ask if card markers would be willing to send his wife cards for her birthday, just because, so I offered to send her one.  Of course I just had to make her a dress card!  I hope she likes it!

Moving Forward

Good Wednesday morning to all of you!  I hope your feeling fine and well today.  I'm at the hospital today with my husband, as he is having surgery to re-section his colon.  He has Crohn's disease and has had problems with it since 1980.  The surgery will take around three hours and require him to be in the hospital for 4 to 5 days.  So if you don't see any cards from me for awhile that is the reason, I'm busy being his nurse for awhile.  I hope to sneak in some crafting time, we shall see what happens.

I went to convention last year and we received this stamp set as a gift from Stampin' Up!.  Stampin' Up! donates time and money to support Ronald McDonald House Charities and with the purchase of this exclusive stamp set, Stampin' Up! will donate $3.00 to RMHC!  This stamp set is located on page 209 of the current catalog.  So far SU! has donated $1,000,000.00 to RMHC!!

Feeling Sentimental

Hi everyone, how is your Monday going so far?  I'm off to have breakfast with my friend Linda this morning.  We go out, or try to anyway, once a month to catch up each other, it's always a nice, relaxing, fun morning too!

The card I'm sharing this morning is the card that I made for my uncle's birthday, which was yesterday. I found a card similar to this one on Pinterest and changed it slightly to the way I wanted it to go.  Once I figured out all of the measurements, it was an easy card to make.  I keep a small notebook on my work table so that when I make cards like this, I can easily remake another, easy, peasy and fast too.  You can easily change the colors and stamp and get a whole different feel with this card.

Products used are:

New Photopolymer Stamps

Today Stampin' Up! has rolled out their newest stamps, Photopolymer stamps!  These new stamps allow you to easily position your stamp right where you want to place it and they cling really well with out clear boxes.  Here is a link to the first stamp set available for purchase.  Depending on how well they are received, this is on a trial basis.

We've searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.

What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • They use FDA, food-safe material. How far can you stretch your stamping creativity?
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.
