Delightful Decorations

Well, good day to all.  I think things have finally settled down at our house, how about you?

Yes, I'm still sharing Christmas cards with all of you.  I got started late this year on making them and finally sent the last two out on the 23rd, me bad!  So I had to come up with some quick ones to make and this is one of those.

Yes, I used a retired stamp set and a retired punch, but I need quick and easy too.  I used the Northern Flurry embossing folder for the background and added some Rhinestones for some sparkle too.  Silver embossing powder was used on the ornament.  The ribbon is 1/8" Bermuda Bay, for just a touch of color.

Christmas Card

I hope you are all having a wonderful day so far it's turned off cold here, good day to stay in and play in the craft room!

Well, it's that time of the year again, trying to decide what design to do for my annual Christmas cards.  It is kinda of fun, because I get to try different looks and then decide on my final one, or this year I just may shake it up and mail all different kinds out instead of just one!  I CASE'd this card after seeing this card HERE.  I really like how simple and elegant it is and I already have all the supplies on hand too except the ribbon.  The ribbon I used is retired from Sale-A-Bration from last year.  I did spray it with some homemade shimmer mist to give it some sparkle.

Christmas In July,2009

Happy Sunday to all of you, hope your day has started out great! Today I'm going to share with you the Christmas cards that I made for some of the people on my list. My list is not very big, less than 30 people, so it's not overwhelming to make cards.

First I started out with kraft color cardstock for the base. Than I cut out white cardstock a tad smaller and ran it thru my Big Kick in a Cuttlebug embossing folder called Snowflakes, I than use a product called Stickles, it has glitter in it, makes the snowflakes all sparkly. Next I cut out pink scallops with my Nestibilites scallop die, than added a small oval on top of that, I used my coluzzle to cut that out. I also used a punch from Stampin' Up called the ornament punch. I used the Stampin Up stamp set-Delightful Decorations, that goes with this punch. The tree branch stamp I found at Jo-Ann's. I used pink ribbon as a ornament hook and that completed my card. I did everything assembly line fashion, doing each section at one time on all of the cards, than moved on to another section. On some I used green cardstock and some others red, just to change it up abit.
