Flower Shop Thank You

Well good Monday to all of you.  It is a gloomy day here in the Midwest, so what better way to brighten the day then with a flower card!

I found this CARD and decided to give it a go.  I think it was the colors that got my attention, so pretty!

I did use different colors, but really your favorite would work just fine too.  I did use a retired card stock and ink color, Regal Rose, as I don't have Strawberry Slush, which by the way will be retiring this year.

Irresistibly Yours

Well as promised I have moved on to another stamp set today.  Today I want to share a card that Tami White recently shared on her blog.  It was so simple and easy to make, so I had to give it a try.  Tami used the Sale-A-Bration Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper for the front of her card.  Well actually it was a swap card that she received but shared the card with all of us.  Anyway, here is the card.

So simple and you can use any sentiment you want to.

Card stock: Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Basic Black
Gold Glimmer Paper

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz

Butterfly Basics #4

Ok, I promise this is the last butterfly card, for awhile, anyway.

For this card I simply brayered some Coastal Cabana ink onto my die, turned it over and placed it on my card stock where I wanted the butterfly image to be and pressed with my fingers to transfer the ink. Not to hard, I didn't want to make any boo-boos.

I used the same items that I used on my previous card except for the Honeycomb embossing folder and the stamp set Honeycomb Hello and the Basic Rhinestones.

Butterfly Basics #3

Well, I'm back once again with another Butterfly card.  I tried the technique called Thinlit Embossing and while I did succeed, it still needs some work on my part.  For any of you that would like to try this, I found a video over on Deb Valder's blog HERE.

I did mine just a tad different then Deb's card, but that is fine, gives you more options to look at.

Water color paper

Butterfly Basics #2

Hello to all, I hope that you are all staying safe and warm, brrrr…I wish Spring would get here so that we can all warm up!

Today I want to share a Birthday card I made that is actually a Thank you card for someone who placed a Online order with me!  I like to send all different kinds of cards to customers and then just put a post-it note on the inside with my thanks, then they can use the card if they would like too.

I saw a card on someone else's blog and tried to make it from memory, epic fail for me but I also didn't want to waste the Watercolor paper I had used either.  So I got out my Aqua Painter and three different ink pads and color the butterfly in with that.  Then I stamped my background paper but felt that the butterfly was "lost" on it, so I took a piece of Vellum and traced out the image of the butterfly and hand cut it out.  I adhered it to the back of my butterfly image and that looked better to me.  For a "I don't have a plan or know what I'm doing" I think it turned out pretty well.

How did I choose my colors?  I have some of the free SAB ribbon sitting on my craft table and that is how I choose my colors!

Butterfly Basics Birthday Card

I have two birthdays coming up, so I thought I better shake a leg and get them done, that way if things get crazy around here again, I'm covered!

I saw a card similar to this one on Amy Koenders blog and really liked the softness of the colors and the card, so I decided to Case it, lol.  Now I did change my card up a bit so mine is not exactly like hers.
