Did you miss me last week? I missed seeing all of you, had a busy week, so no stamping got done. I was finally able to get in the craft room on Friday and had a relaxing day making a couple cards for one of my friends.
My friend will be mailing these cards to her mother-in-law for her birthday and Mother's Day, purple was the color requested.
I used my Blendabilities to color in the flower and stem, oh how I wish we still had these, I LOVE to color! I know I used a lot of retired/retiring products but this is what I came up with.
Stamp sets: Well Scripted and Because I Care
Ink: Black Memento ink
Card stock: Whisper White and Wisteria Wonder
Background Color Collection-Subtles
Tea Lace Paper Doilies
Beautifully Baroque
Basic Rhinestones and Pearls
I hope her mother-in-law likes her card!
See you again soon, Mary

Price Changes on Some Catalog Items and Decreases
To Make sure I tell you the correct information from Stampin' Up!, I have Copied and Paste what was made available to all demonstrators this morning.
Product Price Increases: As any viable company must do, we continually evaluate our pricing to ensure we're offering high-quality, competitively-priced products while also remaining profitable. To that end we have made the following product-line increases:
Product Price Increases: As any viable company must do, we continually evaluate our pricing to ensure we're offering high-quality, competitively-priced products while also remaining profitable. To that end we have made the following product-line increases:
- Ink pads and refills: Our last price increase for ink pads and refills was in 2009. Over time, our costs have gone up, resulting in a small price increase.
- Extra-large punches: Our punch supplier increased our cost on some of our punches, necessitating a price increase on our largest punch-body style.
- Big Shot, cutting pads, and crease pads: Our supplier has raised their prices, and we've adjusted our prices to be in line with those changes.
- Product Price Decreases: We are happy to announce that we've been able to negotiate a cost savings on Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, which has made it possible for us to lower the price of all embossing folders.
- Even-Dollar Pricing: We have moved to even-dollar pricing; this means you won't see any $xx.95 in our prices, including supply items (please note, however, that you will still see some products priced at $xx.25, $xx.50, and $xx.75). The benefit of this is a much more simple pricing solution that is also consistent with how many other direct-sales companies price their products.

Baby Shower Thank You Notes
Well, I've been a busy person, making the little gift bags for my daughters' upcoming baby shower. Then I thought, "well, I might as well do the thank you cards for her too." So that is what I'm sharing with you today.
I purposely kept the notes simple and flat for easy mailing for her. Here is what I came up with.
As you can see, I went with the elephant theme along with the gray and yellow color scheme! They are so cute, I really like them!! I used Stampin' Up!'s Note Cards. These are so handy to have on hand, you get 20 card bases, cut and scored, along with envelopes, for only $5.95! Great price and great to have for a quick note!
Stamp set: Patterned Occasions and Work of Art
Card stock: Whisper White
Silver Glimmer Paper
Inks: Smoky Slate and Crushed Curry
Markers: Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz
Well off to create some more, hope you have a wonderful Wednesday! Mary

Mini Treat Bag
Hello and good Monday morning to all! Today I want to share this cute little treat bag which I'm going to use as a Mini Gift Bag, perfect size for a small gift and gift card too!
I found the directions/video over on Glenda Culkins' blog HERE. Very simple and not hard to make either!
As you can see I used the Zoo Babies stamp set and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used some Sale-A-Bration Designer Paper to give this a try and I like how gender neutral it is!
Ink: Smoky Slate
Card Stock: Whisper White and Smoky Slate
Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die
Glimmer Paper
Round punch: 2-1/4 and 2-1/2, non SU
Flower is from Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack
When I'm ready to use it, I'll probably pinch the top together and punch some holes and thread some ribbon through the holes to close it with.
Have a great day……..Mary

Zoo Babies Card
Well, I recently purchased this cute little set, with the thought in mind to make some baby cards. Of course, you could use this cute set for a small childs' birthday too. I found the directions for the card base over on Angie Juda's blog and wanted to try my hand with this type of card fold.
I think this card turned out so sweet! The sentiment on the inside is from a retired stamp set, but knew it would work for this card. The sentiment under the elephant is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The Designer Series Paper I used on each side is from All Is Calm, yup, Christmas designer series paper. You may be able to find it on the Clearance rack.
The tag was made with the Scallop Tag Topper punch. Ribbon is Smoky Slate 3/4" Chevron tied with Silver Metallic Baker's Twine. The flowers are punched out of Silver Glimmer paper and the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack with Basic Pearls for the center. Card stock is Soft Sky and Whisper White.
I'm in baby mode, as my oldest daughter is expecting her first child in mid-August!! They have chosen to be surprised with the sex of the baby at birth!
Thank you for coming by and I hope you have a wonderful week-end, it's suppose to be kind of wild here, weather wise, this week-end, sure hope it doesn't pan out! Mary

Ampersand Wedding Card
Today I want to share a "different" card that I made the other day. I found my Ampersand embossing folder and thought to myself, "you've never used this yet, time to give it a try." So I thought and thought and came up with this VERY simple card. I had a harder time finding a stamp to use to stamp the words with!
I used the Back to Basics Alphabet. This was a bit tricky to do, but I think it came out just fine! Will I make another one like it, I don't know, maybe I can think of a way to "step it up" some how.
It was an easy card to do and took maybe all of ten minutes to make.
Stamp set: Back to Basics Alphabet
Card stock: Whisper White and Coastal Cabana
Basic Rhinestones
Ampersand Embossing Folder
Well, that is my share for today, off to relax and create some more! Mary
