Bordering on Romance

Well, three post in one week, I'm on a roll here! It was so much fun playing in my craft room last Sunday and having fun stamping and relaxing too! Today's card is being sent to a lady who is awaiting hip surgery and has been laid up since before Christmas. I feel so sorry for her and her husband and what they have gone thru.

For this card I decided to pull out my blues, haven't played with those in a long time and I love how the combo turned out! As you can see, if is a very simple, clean card. I used the Designer Frames Textured embossing folder, love this oval one! Stamped my image with Black Staz-On and color it with markers and blender pen, punched that out with the oval punch and pop it up with some dimensionals, than just cut different sizes of rectangles. I used the stamp set, elementary Elegance sentiment for the front along with some Marina Mist ribbon and Marina Mist ink. I used Whisper White, Marina Mist and Bashful Blue card stock, love it!

Well that is my final share for this week, hope to be back next week with some more, been busy working on wedding invitations, don't want to put them off and then be in a hurry to get them ready for my daughter! Mary

Tea Bag/ Coffee Bag Dispenser

Hi everyone, hope your day is going well! Today I want to share this cute ideas that I saw on a fellow blogger blog, RunningwScissorsStamper, you can see the original and all of the directions HERE. I just happen to have the same paper that she used, so I was happy that mine came out looking just as great as hers! Now I did do my lid just a bit different but I like the way it turned out. I plan on giving this to my friend the next time I see her, I think she will be surprised at getting it!

I made the little tags with two different says, so if she wants to use it for tea too she can, and with this dispenser you can easily lift off the lid to re-fill it whenever you need too.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Top of the morning to ya! As you all know I don't like to buy stamps that I can't use more than once and that includes alot of Valentine and St. Paddy's day stamps. Well I found this card over at France Martin's blog, you can see her card HERE . When I saw her card and video I knew I had to Copy and Share Everything. Now I did do mine just a tad different, I embossed the background, added a small four leaf clover and used rhinestones instead, oh and sponged the edges on the embossed background. This picture doesn't do justice to this card, it so way cuter in person, which you could see it. Sentiment was stamped inside.

SU products used:

Card stock: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive
Designer Series paper: Subtles
Punches: Full Heart and heart from Itty Bitty punch pack
Embossing Folder: Hounds tooth
Rhinestones
Dimensional

Well, this is it for today, hope you have a great week! Mary

Lovely As a Tree

Good morning everyone, long time no see! Been busy with the hubby again, he had minor back surgery on Wednesday and got him home yesterday, now he is on the mend and all is going well. Hopefully he won't need anymore surgery for quite awhile now!

Today I would like to share a card, yes a masculine card! This one was sent to a man in Canada, his daughters' requested cards for him as he is in the finally stages of battling brain cancer and she wanted him to feel loved, which he is. I pulled out my stamp set, Lovely As a Tree and used the Oak tree from that set. To me an Oak tree represents strength and that is what her father has shown for the last two years fighting his cancer! I also used the oak leaves to stamp the background with, hope he likes his card and sees the meaning behind it.

All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Stamp set: Lovely As a Tree
Card stock: Soft Suede, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
Inks: Soft Suede, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz
