Tile Coaster

Here are some tile coasters that I made for my husband's co-workers last year for Christmas gifts. I use tiles that you can find at Lowe's or Home Depot and that is also where I found the rubber bumpers for the bottom too. You can find the directions on how to do this at www.stamptv.ning.com/video/tile-coasters. They are very easy and make great gifts. You get nine tiles to a box for under $6.00. I found this idea at Curt's World: http://curtsplayhouse.blogspot.com/

Here is my very first rag quilt purse! It is so cute in real life. I found the video on Chic n' Scratch here:http://www.chicnscratchlive.com/2009/11/rag-quilt-purse-video.html
you can also purchase printed instructions from her too. They are very simple and easy to sew. I've made two others already. Try making one, you won't be sorry!

Easter Card for Friend

Here is another Easter card that I made yesterday, realized that Easter is this coming Sunday and I had better get them done! Sorry for the poor lighting, still try to learn how to use my light cube that I got recently. The stamp is from Stampendous-Easter Word Bunny. I colored it in with my Stampin' Up markers and I also used watercolor pencils and aqua painter for the grass. I ran the background behine the bunny thru my Big Kick with the Stampin' Up Top Note die and than ran that thru my dotted Swiss Cuttlebug folder. Than I lightly sponge the dots so that they would add some color and stand out a bit more. Thanks for stopping by to see me!

Simple Easter Card

Here is a Easter card that I made today. Very simple and easy. I used a $1 stamp that I found at an art's and craft chain last year. The scallop background is from Stampin' Up. I used my Stampin' Up markers to watercolor the image. The halo around the image could be better, but for my first attempt, it's fine, just need to practice more!

Broccoli Slaw Recipe

Hi everyone, hope you had a good day, the sun was out here but still alittle chill in the air. Today I'm going to post a recipe that my family really likes especially my mother-in-law. Hope you will enjoy it too. It goes well with just about anything, would be good with your Easter dinner.

Broccoli Slaw
Slaw:
1 bag (16 oz.) broccoli slaw (sometimes called broccoli coleslaw)
4 green onions, chopped tops included
1/2 cup slivered almonds or sliced
4 Tablespoons sunflower seeds
1 pkg. chicken flavored ramen noodles, crushed

Dressing:
the flavor packet from the ramen noodles
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
4 Tablespoons sugar
4 Tablespoons cider vinegar

Directions:
Prepare the dressing at least 3 hours in advance. After the dressing has sat, pour over all the remaining ingredients EXCEPT the ramen noodles. Toss to coat well. Right before serving, add the CRUSHED ramen noodles. Refrigerate any leftovers.

Serves 4 to 6 people.

Enjoy!!
