Well here we are again with our last convention Make & Take share. I really like this one because it does make a very nice gift box for really any occasion. You can even get two mini Yankee candles in this box, sweet! I will admit that when I saw these in the catalog, it was ho-hum, but after making one, I've changed my mind and will be ordering some of these to have on hand for quick gift wrapping. They also have the boxes, bags and accessories available in bundle pricing on page 159 of the catalog, which saves you 15%!
These boxes come with a kraft bottom and the acetate sleeve. They are food-safe. Each box measures, 6-7/8" x 2-1/8" x 2-1/2". They come 8 to a package for $6.95, #130927. For our make & takes they added the piece of card stock to cover the gift that is inside. That piece measures: 4-3/8" x 6-7/8", score 1" x 3-3/8", round the corners. Then you can stamp whatever you would like, the stamp sets we used is Hello, Lovely and Gorgeous Grunge. For making the feathers, I have taken a picture (click on picture to enlarge) of the instructions that were included with our supplies. The closer you make your snips, the finer the feathers will be. The ribbon is cut at 24" long and just tied around the box.
This is the last of the Make & Takes, I hope you have enjoyed seeing the different projects and feel inspired to try one or two of your own. If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I'll try to answer them! Have a great day. Mary

Tag a Bag Gift Bag
Good Wednesday to all of my friends, I hope your day is off to a wonderful start too.
Today I want to share another Make & Take that was in our convention bags. This one uses a gift bag that you score, vertically, on both sides at one inch and then score horizontally from the bottom at 1 1/4 inch. Be sure to cut just about 1/16th off of the bottom of the bag, you got to be able to open it! Then snip up to the 1 1/4 inch mark. Now fold on all of the score lines. Take the bottom and fold in to make a flat bottom, secure the bottom with some Washi tape. Now for mine, I cut a small piece of chipboard, and placed it on the inside bottom to give it alittle bit more strength. We also received the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit, it includes the punch out tags, baker's twine, mini clothespins (boy are they tiny too). Then you can use whatever ribbon you would like. The stamp set we used is Tag It set, it is the current Ronald McDonald House stamp set and for every set sold, Stampin' Up! donates $3.00 to the charity! Win, win for everyone! Makers used where, Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana.

This is a small gift bag. I hope you are liking my convention shares, tomorrow will be the last one. Mary

Make and Takes, #2
Today I thought I would share another make and take and also one of the mini make and takes.
This first picture is of the mini make and take. It uses the mini muslin bags in the new Holiday catalog and it is on page 36. You get 8 bags for $9.95, which makes a cute inexpensive quick gift to stamp and give to someone fill with some kind of goody.
The next one is of five note cards that we got to stamp at the make and take area. The note cards that SU sell are very nice and I like to keep a package of them on hand for a quick note, you get 20 for $5.95. They gave us a Tag a Bag Gift bag (I haven't finished my bag, I still need to decorate it) to place our finished note cards in, also a nice gift to give to someone too. I didn't show the envelopes in the picture. Ink colors are: Old Olive, Crisp Cantaloupe, Bermuda Bay, Costal Cabana. Stamp set is Hello, Lovely.
I don't know why my pictures are yellow/green at the bottom, I think the leaves on the tree outside was reflecting back into the house.
I hope you all have a great week-end, see you on Monday! Mary

Convention Make and Take
Hi everyone! I hope you had a great week-end, ours was quite, we got up early and went to the City Market here in town, stopped first for breakfast. We picked up some ears of corn, freshly picked the day before! Yum can't wait to eat some, first of the season for us. We had beautiful weather here in KC, low's in the 50's and high's in the 70's, can't get any better than that for July.
Here is a card that we made in the Make & Take area at convention. Since I was a helper, we got to do ours the day before. I really like the stamp sets that they gave us at convention this year, I always wonder how they pick which ones to give? Now after I had my picture taken, I noticed that I was missing the button for the front (should be right next to the ampersand and towards the bottom left. I've looked all over for it but I must have lost it along the way somewhere. Oh well, it makes this card a "no extra postage" card this way and I could always add some baker's twine too, if I wanted too. It's very grunge, which seems to be the "in" style right now too.
Products used:
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge and Hello, Lovely
Card stock: Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Costal Cabana (Core-dinations)
Silver Glimmer paper
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cataloupe, Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Summer Starfruit
Marker: Calypso Coral
Baker's Twine (missing from mine)
Very Vintage Designer Button (missing from mine)
Washi Tape: Epic Day This & That
Punch: 1 3/4" circle
Well this is my share for today, hope too see you Wednesday, Mary

Artisan 3-D Entries
Today I thought I would share with you some of the Artisan contestants 3-D entries. Now isn't this camp scene just too cute?! The talent of some of the demonstrators is just amazing!
Here is a cute display of paper cupcakes. WOW!
And last but not least, is a typewriter made out of card stock, another one that just is awesome!
Now remember, you can click on the pictures to enlarge the pictures so you can get a closer look at all of these wonderful creations!
I hope you all have a wonderful week-end and hopefully I can get into the craft room to make some cards and hopefully be all caught up on my sleep too! Mary

A Few of My New Friends!
I thought I would share a picture of a few of my friends...

all 5,800 of them!! Can you believe this! This was the mass of demonstrators coming out of one of the general sessions! Now normally there are not this many demonstrators at convention, but since this year was the 25th anniversary, alot more came to celebrate this milestone with Stampin' Up!

Convention 2013
This year when Stampin' Up! sent out e-mails asking for demonstrators to be Make & Take helpers, I applied and was selected! It was so much fun and a very easy assignment to do to, I really enjoyed being able to help other demos with questions or replacing supplies that they may have needed. This is the badge that they made for us to wear while in the Make & Take area.
I also went to the Mini Make & Take and this cute little jar was sitting on the table holding supplies, the bow die will be available in the upcoming Holiday catalog, starting August 1st, there are two sizes that you can use to make this bow too. Here it is made with the Silver Glimmer paper. Since the class I was in was the last one for convention, they told us we could take the bows with us, lucky me! It is so cute.
Next up is a picture of the convention bag that we got at opening session. It was filled with our Make & Takes, stamp sets, our mini Make & Take, an MDS card and a few other goodies too! All I can say is WOW! These back packs are very well made and have plenty of storage too!
I will be back tomorrow with more pictures to share with all of you, until then have a great day! Mary
