Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Hello to all, today I want to share with you a card that I found online made by Jill Chapman, you can see her card HERE.  When I saw Jill's card I knew I had to give it a go, it is so pretty.  In hind sight, I should have popped the letters up so they could be seen better, but I'm going to donate this card to a auction later in the year, along with more, so I want them to be mail friendly!

I'm going to try this again!

Here is what I used:

Stamp set: Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Framelits: Large Letters
Ribbon: Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon-retiring
Inks:  Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Tempting Turquoise, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz
Embossing Folder: Softly Falling

This card is so much prettier in real life then what I photo shows!

Have a great day!  Mary

Colorful Seasons

As you know, as a Demonstrator, I get to order new products a full month before the catalogs go live, woo-hoo!!  This was one of the stamp set and Thinlits that we were able to preorder!

I made this for our vet who just finished her last round of chemotherapy!  I've  been sending her a card each month to let her know we are thinking of her and praying for her.

I used the new In Color, Lemon Lime Twist, it is bright but goes so well with so many other colors too!  This stamp set is called Colorful Seasons, page 147 in the new catalog.  The Thinlits are called Seasonal Layers, on page 146 and 216.  I used our Card stock Vellum to cut out the flowers and turned them over and sponged them with Pink Pirouette ink.  The branches are cut out of Early Espresso card stock.  The drink was stamped in Daffodil Delight and a frame lit is included to cut it out too!  I watercolored the background with Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz.  I used Soft Suede ink for the sentiment.  I've seen a lot of cute cards made with this set, it is really a great bundle to have.

Hope your week if off to a great start!  Mary

Paper Pumpkin April 2017

I'm still making cards with the April 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit and I still have enough product to make five more cards!  Here is the latest one I made.  I used the embossing folder, Celebrations Duo to emboss the "celebrate" into the watercolor paper.  Simple and quick!!

The kit came with plastic flowers but I didn't want to have to use more postage to mail it out, so I've been using the Petite Petal punch to make some cute flowers with.

See you next week!  Mary

Thoughts & Prayers

Hello to all of you.  I think Spring/Summer is finally here to stay, it has been so nice around here, but nice to sit outside and enjoy it all.

My husbands' aunt just found out that she has Colon cancer and luckily it was caught early and is the kind that she will not have to have chemo either, the sad part though is that her husband is in hospice care now because he has Pancreatic cancer.  So they have been hard hit and we are all saying prayers for them.

I wanted to send her a get well card to let her know we are thinking of her and I pulled out this current but older set called Thoughts & Prayers.  I use the sentiment that comes with the set, but I put part of the sentiment on the inside of the card.

I used:
Stamp set: Thoughts & Prayers
Card stock: Rose Red, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White
Inks: Old Olive, Rose Red and Black Memento
Embossing folder: French Script-retired
Ribbon: Old Olive-retired

Very simple and pretty card.  Mary

Daisy Delight

Well I'm still using the new Daisy punch that will be available in the new Annual Catalog in June.  So many possibilities with this punch and coordinating stamp set.

For these two cards, I used a lot of retired products, except for the Brick Wall embossing folder, which is still available.  I used Thoughtful Banners for the words, which is current too.  I don't know the name of the Designer Series paper, but you could use whatever you have or like for this type of card.  I do know that the ink color is Coastal Cabana.  I use some Hello Honey for my daisy and the ribbon is Delightful Dijon, which seems to go well with this DSP!

I'm trying to use up some DSP that I got a couple, maybe even three years ago in a Paper Share, so I have a lot to use up and hopefully my daughter's work will find a good use for the cards too, win win!!

Have a great day!  Mary

Tranquil Tulips

Today is Friday and want to share with you one of the new Hostess sets in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  I saw a card that Michelle Suit made before I placed my preorder and knew I had to get this one, it is a two-step stamp set but it is so easy to use and the flowers turn out so pretty too!

I used the following products:

Stamp set: Tranquil Tulips
Card stock: Whisper White and Peekaboo Peach
Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach and Black Memento
Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding ribbon-retired

I stamped off a few extra leaves to add to the front.  Next time I would add Old Olive for the leaves and stems.

This is a stamp set I would definitely get!  Mary

On The Grow and Lots of Thanks

Today is a beautiful day here in the Midwest with our near 80 degrees temperature, I think spring is finally here, yea!

One of the perks of being a Demonstrator is being able to order new items from the catalogs a month before the catalogs go live.  One of the preorder items we could order was the new Daisy punch, along with a stamp set called Daisy Delight.  I as inspired by a fellow Demonstrator, Melinda Whitting.  I use Mint Macaroon, which will be retiring soon, along with the stamp set Gorgeous Grunge and I also used some retiring ribbon from the past Holiday catalog.  I use the Layering Oval Framelits.  The sentiment is from a retired set called On the Grow.

As you can see this is a simple layout and you could use any color you'd like.

I did add some Basic Pearls and some Wink of Stella, which doesn't show in the picture, but it does add a nice little touch.

Thanks for stopping....Mary

April 2017 Paper Pumpkin A Sara Thing

Good Monday to all of you, I hope you had a great week-end.  I did, I finally got into the craft room to play with some of my preorder products that will be available on June 1st, had a fun and relaxing afternoon too!

I want to share with you the April 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit that the Stampin' Up! CEO, Sara Douglass designed for this month's kit.  Oh.My.Goodness...so cute!!  I didn't stray from the enclosed instructions for the first three, but there are so many wonderful alternatives for this kit, which sadly, the refill kits sold out in a flash!!

I'm going to to make some for me for Thank You cards and donate the rest to the Assist-Living facility where my daughter works.

Thank you for dropping in, I've got my cards made for the rest of the week, just need to load them up and write a short note on each.  Mary

Oh So Succulent

Oh my goodness, my good intentions of making and posting cards did not go as planned.  Been super busy in meetings, oh my!

My Mother passed away in June 2016 and my two aunts that I have, have been so kind, helpful and loving to me for quite awhile and I just want to let them know how much I appreciate them, so I decided to make them both a Mother's Day card this year.  I think they will both be surprised when they receive them in the mail.  They both live in different states then me, but it is something that is important for me to let them know how much I love them.

I was shocked when this stamp set and matching dies were on the retirement list this year!!  I was inspired by Charlet Mallett card but I did change it up some from hers.

I used the following:
Stamp set: Oh So Succulent
Framelits: Succulent Framelit Dies
Card stock: Thick Whisper White, Sahara Sand
Falling Petals embossing folder
Stitched Circle Framelits
Layering Circles Framelits (scallop)
Swirly Scribbles Thinlits
Blushing Bride Glimmer paper
Basic Pearls

Thanks for stopping by to see my creation!  Mary
