Hi everyone, well we are up to swap number seven.  Now I only made four of each swap so that I could try out different things and to keep interested too.

I found this card over on Pinterest and followed it back to the original creator, Debbie Currier.  You can view her card HERE.  I just used different color card stock.

Sympathy Card

Well tomorrow is the 4th of July, do you all have plans made for this day of celebration?  We will be spending it at home, with the dogs, and have a quite day.  I will probably be in the craft room creating if I can!

One of my husband's former co-workers recently passed away and I made this card to send to her husband.  She was in her early 40's, way to young to pass, but she had been battling cancer.  I sure wish they could find a cure for all cancers.

Oh how I wish I had taken a better picture of this.  I found this card on someone's blog, if I find out who I will come back and put in the information to get credit  and a link to the orginial creator of it.  All you do is emboss the front of your card base with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder, then ink up a sponge dabuber with some ink, ink the raised areas, stamp your sentiment and your done.  I did add a few pearls and some Shimmer paint to add some extra interest to it.  I also spritzed it with some homemade glimmer mist.  Click on the picture to get a closer view.  The sentiment is from a retired stamp set, which I can't seem to remember right now, but you could use any sentiment you wanted.

Happy Birthday Chanda!!

Hey everyone!! I have a birthday card I would like to share with you, it is for my special Internet friend, Chanda! Today is her birthday and I wanted to make a special card for her, well, because she is special! She has the GREATEST sense of humor, just love it!

Okay onto the card. First I started with a card base of Rich Razzleberry because when it is paired with Very Vanilla, looks elegant, to me anyway and this is a special card. Than I took a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and ran it through the small frame embossing folder, which I than cut out. Hmm....the frame needed something else, so I took my retired Sanded background stamp with some Crumb Cake ink and used that to add some character to it, perfect! Than I took one of the stamps from Just Believe and stamped out the image I wanted onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, the sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set. I lightly sponged the edges of the "picture" inside the frame. I ran some Very Vanilla card stock through the Stripe and Dotted Swiss embossing folders, cut them to the size I wanted, than I added some 3/4" circle punches cut into half the the top part of the Stripe card stock piece (click on image to see better). I found some old crochet trim in my craft closet and added that too! I used my Bow marker and some Crumb Cake seam binding to make a bow that I attached with glue dots. It seem to be missing something, so I got out my tag punch and the Tag stamp set and a safety pin and added the "friends" to the trim below the bow. Whew...this card fought me tooth and nail to be made, nothing seem to go right when I was making this card, but I was determined to win the battle, LOL!!!

Elegant Bouquet Thank You Card

Hello, hello, hello! I'm so glad you are here to visit with me!

Ok, here is a card that I made to give to my husbands' boss. My husband is going to retire on Friday after working for the government for over 40 years! My hubby didn't want a big retirement party, so just his immediate co-workers, him, oldest daughter and I went out for a nice lunch at one of his favorite BBQ places. Hubby's boss was so kind to buy our lunch for us, so I needed to write a nice thank you note to let him know how much we enjoyed and appreciated his kindness!

I ran the Crumb Cake card front thru the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. Than with a piece of Marina Mist, I embossed it with the rectangle Designer Frames. I cut a piece of Whisper White to insert inside of the frame. I used the Sincere Salutations and Crumb Cake ink for the sentiment. Now, if I would have been making this for a female I would have added some ribbon. Very simple and easy to do! All products are Stampin' Up!.

Lace Ribbon Thank You Card

Hi everyone, just click on my blog and saw it was blank! I swore that I had something written (it's 6:10 pm here in KC). So I better get busy and tell you about my card!

I recently got some new items to stamp and punch and play with, so I had to make a card. The paper is called Pool Party and I just love the color of it! The embossing folder is a mini one, it comes in a set of two and this one is just so elegant, love how this turned out! Than the punch piece is a new Lace Ribbon punch. I dressed it up by punching out 1 inch circles of black card stock that I glued to the back, just the right touch of color to the card. The sentiment is from a stamp set called, Watercolor Trio, which is retired. All of the products are from Stampin' Up!. I found the inspiration for this card at rubberfunatics.

Flower Garden Sympathy Card

Hi to everyone! I hope all is well with you. A friend of ours recently loss her husband, he had been sick off and on for many years and had just recently found out he had lung cancer. We were sorry to hear of his sudden passing. This is the card that I made to send to her and her family.

I used an embossing folder to make the flowers on the card stock, than took sponge daubers to apply ink to the raised areas. Maybe next time, I will add a few pearls to it to dress it up some.

Textured Embossed Card

Good Sunday evening to all of you! About an hour ago it was snowing here, big fat, wet flakes, but it has all melted, thank goodness. Gee, I wish spring would come and stay.

Tonight I would like to share with you a card that I made, I don't remember the name for this technique but it is very easy and makes for a really pretty card. With this card I punched out my flowers and glue them to my white background piece, than I insert it into my textured embossing folder, ran it thru my Big Kick and this is what the result was. I stamped and punched out my sentiment and added some pearls, very easy.

All supplies I used were Stampin' Up, let's see if I can remember all of them, Rich Razzleberry , Whisper White and Certainly Celery card stock; pearls; 5 Petal, Boho, scallop oval and oval punches, Rich Razzleberry ink, Watercolor Trio stamp set, Tulip and Texture embossing folders, Tombow glue (green). I think that is everything!

Happy Valentine's Day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
I hope you all are having a great day today. The weather here today is wonderful, the sun is out and it warm too, above 40! Gee, maybe spring is coming soon.
Here is the card that I made for my two daughters for Valentine's day. Mom and Dad always put alittle cash inside so that they can get what they would like. Now I don't make alot of these kinds of cards because I just don't give them to everyone, just the girls, so I don't have any valentine stamp sets, so I have to get creative when I make them.

Blue Christmas Card

Hi, well are you getting sick of seeing Christmas cards? Hope not, here is my third attempt at some cards. On this one I use Stampin' Up's embossing folder called Northern Flurry, and the stamp set called, Christmas Greetings. I also use Heat & Stick powder and Dazzling Diamonds on the snowflakes (click on picture to see the glitter better). Than I tried sponging the background, very soft and subtle. The hardest part on this was removing the extra heat & stick powder, otherwise this would have been a super fast card to make.

Well this is what I have so far for Christmas card ideas, I may try a few more and make a decision on which one to go with. I usually try and have them done by mid-November as I have an elderly lady that I buy, address, sign and mail all of her Christmas cards for, as she can no longer do it. Maybe I'll show you some Thanksgiving images that I used for Thank you cards, I don't normally send out Thanksgiving cards, except for one.
