Awash with Flowers Thinking of You RAK

Hi everyone! Are we all well done by now, or do we need to be flipped over and cooked some more!? I sure hope it cools down sometime soon, alot of the yards around here are all brown and it is like walking on straw.

Today I used a stamp set that needs to have more use than what I've been giving it, it's really a easy stamp to use, it is what they call a two-step stamp. First you stamp the out line, than you stamp the inside. I've seen where some stamp the outline on designer paper, that is also another way to use it too.

This one is one I will send out as a RAK to a young women who will be going thru cancer surgery again and needs some cheering up. I hope my simple card will brighten her day some. I used Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Marina Mist card stock. For the ink I used Marina Mist, Pretty In Pink, Black, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz. Seam binding is also Marina Mist. The sentiment is from the On the Grow stamp set. I also lightly sponged the edges of Whisper White with some Marina Mist. All products are Stampin' Up!.

I think that is all for this post and please stay cool and make sure to check on your older friends to make sure they are staying hydrated and cool too. Have a great day....................Mary

Cards for Those Who Need A Lift

Well today didn't start out like we wanted it too. Hubby woke up sick, so I've been taking care of him today (not to hard to do because he has been sleeping all day long, so that gave me some time to play in the craft room). Hopefully it is only the 24 hour bug and that I don't get it too!

I wanted to share the cards that I got to make today. I will be sending these off to people I don't even know. Over at Splitcoaststampers, they have a forum where you can post requests for cards for friends, family or whomever. Some or most are going thru health issues and just need some good old-fashion cheering up! I'm sending out a total of four cards. Hope they all like my simple cards! I CASE'd this card from HERE . I used Stampin' Up stamp set called "Awash with Flowers", I haven't used it very much, so today I decided to get it out and show it some love! One embossed background is from Cuttlebug and the other from Stampin' Up. The ribbon is from Jo-Ann's and I used markers to color onto the rubber, those were also from Stampin' Up (I really like their markers)!

Well, I hope you all are having a Great week-end, off to the craft room again.......Mary

Thank You Card

Today I'm going to show you a thank you card that I sent to my friend who recently moved to St. Louis to be closer to her family. When she lived here, I would help her by writing her checks for her and than also made sure that all of her bills got paid and mailed on time too. She was kind enough to send me a nice gift card for my help.

Card Recipe:
Stamp sets: Stampin' Up Awash with Flowers and Whimiscal Words
Stampin' Up scallop punch
cardstock-Bazzill
ribbon and Black Stazon ink

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me. Mary
