Beautiful Ride

I really like this stamp set, Beautiful Ride, not only for the cute "Beetle" but also because it is versatile!  Lots of cute sayings and images.  When I was a lot younger, I had a red VW, it was a lot of fun to have too!

As you can see, I used three different stamp sets, Beautiful Ride, Sheltering Tree and Work of Art!  I love how you can create a scene with Stamping' Up! stamps!  I stamped the image on watercolor paper so that I could color it in and then fussy cut it out, not too hard.  Then I build my scene with with the tree placement, then the grass and road.  I use a hand-cut stencil for the clouds to add further interest.  Over all I really like how it came out!  I did leave the inside of the card blank, so I can add a sentiment on down the line, if I want too!

Card stock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Water color paper
Inks: Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Sahara Sand and Soft Sky
Markers: Real Red, Smoky Slate, Black and Crumb Cake

This is one set that will stay in my collection!  Thank you for coming by too!  Mary

Work Of Art Easter Egg

I'm sure that a lot of you have seen this Easter card going around on the web and Pinterest.  I first saw it on Tami White's blog and she found it on Jennifer Downey's blog and I believe she found it somewhere else too!  It is too cute not to share with you in the off chance you have not seen it before.  I left the sentiment off the front and added it to the inside of the card.

Here is what I used:
Stamp sets: Work of Art, Petite Petals, and Pictogram Punches
Card stock: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Inks: Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz
Oval Framelits, # 5
Bird Builder punch, Petite Petal punch and Itty Bitty Punch pack
Decorative Dots embossing folder
dimensionals

So if you have time, I recommend you try this one for sure!  Mary

Work Of Art Butterfly Birthday

A fellow demonstrator that I follow posted a picture of this card on her blog the other day, thanks Donna for sharing, and I just had to copy it.  So simple and fast to make too.

I used the new Bold Butterfly Framelits.  First I stamped with the Work of Art swoosh stamp in Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Pool Party.  I did use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get my swoosh pattern to line up the way it did.  Then I placed the frame lit over the stamped area and cut it out.  I popped the card front up with dimensionals and then used Tombow Multi-Purpose glue on the center of the butterfly body to adhere it down.  That gives the wings some dimension.  I added some Basic Rhinestones to the center and the card was done!  I used Build A Birthday sentiment.

Off to make my son-in-law's birthday card, can't forget him!  Mary

Work of Art Flower

I've been seeing a lot of cards on Facebook and the internet of flowers that demonstrators have made using the new Work of Art stamp set, so I thought I would try my hand at making one too.

I used the new In-Colors, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow.  For card stock I used Whisper White and Lost Lagoon.  I added a Basic Rhinestone to the heart for a little bit of bling.

This card went together FAST!

It's nice to see how other people can "think out of the box" with their stamps and supplies, I'm glad that they share!!   Mary

Work Of Art

Hi everyone!!  Oh I'm so excited today to share with you a card that I made with three of the new In-Colors and a new stamp set from the 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! catalog!!

I got to attend the Catalog Premier here in Kansas City on Monday night!!  It was like going to a mini convention without all of the cost of going to regular convention!

The first card is a first generation stamping with three of the new In-Colors!!  I was lucky and won those because of the wrist band I was wearing WOO HOO!!

The second card is a second generation stamping.
The new In-Colors are called: Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.  There are two more but these are the three that I won!  The stamp set is brand new and called Work of Art.  Card stock I used is Whisper White and I used Versa Mark ink and used Silver Embossing powder on the heart.

There are so many new and exciting things coming to Stampin' Up! this coming year that I think you will all be very happy!

Stop back on Friday and I will show you a comparison of the three In-Colors with what is current now, see you then!  Mary
