Flower Shop Thank You

Well good Monday to all of you.  It is a gloomy day here in the Midwest, so what better way to brighten the day then with a flower card!

I found this CARD and decided to give it a go.  I think it was the colors that got my attention, so pretty!

I did use different colors, but really your favorite would work just fine too.  I did use a retired card stock and ink color, Regal Rose, as I don't have Strawberry Slush, which by the way will be retiring this year.

Stamp sets: Butterfly Basics, Flower Shop and Lovely Amazing You
Card stock: Whisper White and Regal Rose-retired
Vellum
Strawberry Slush Ruffle Ribbon-retired
Extra-Large Oval Punch and Pansy
Large Scallop Edgelit
Beautiful Wings Embosslits
Basic Pearls
Stamping Dimensionals

Now hurry up Spring and come!!   Mary

Flower Shop Bubble Wrap Technique

Good Monday morning, hope your day is off to a wonderful start too.

I'm going to share I card that I found over on Dawn Griffin blog using bubble wrap.  HERE is a video that explains how easy it is to do this technique too.

I use retired Baja Breeze ink, card stock and seam binding for my card, but any of your favorites would certainly work.  I didn't have the same stamp set she used, so I used the Flower Shop stamp set.  The sentiment is from Wetlands.

I did use my Coastal Cabana Blendabilites to color my rhinestones with.  You will need some "unpop" bubble wrap, VersaMark ink, heat embossing gun and clear embossing powder.  I also used a clean cloth to wipe off any excess ink that was on the embossed part.  Really a simple and easy card to make too.

Thanks for stopping!  Mary

Flower Shop

Hi to all of you.  Well here we are at mid week already, I hope you are all have a good week too.

Todays share is a new stamp set called Flower Shop.  As you can see it comes with a coordinating punch called Pansy, these two items can be purchased as a bundle, saving you 15%.  I really like punches.  These bright colors are for my friend Linda.  She likes bright ones so I used Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise.  I found these colors in my Color Coach, something I turn too a lot when I don't know if certain colors will go together.  The ribbon on the bottom is Melon Mambo, which is retired and the top ribbon, 3/8" stitched satin, is Primrose Petals.  I figured I need to start using some of my retired stuff up!  Oh, I did stamp with Pistachio Pudding with the Flower Shop flower under the punched out flowers too add some green.  Card stock is Whisper White and Melon Mambo.  I added a Basic Pearl to the center of each flower, but you could use a rhinestone too.
Sentiment is from the hostess set, Simply Sketched.  Really a easy card.  I saw a card like this at convention, but don't know who's it is.

Have a wonderful day, Mary.
