You're Priceless, Take Two

I once again used this stamp set to send a thank you card, but this time to my direct Upline.  This time I made a regular A2 size card, while she is not a Diamond yet, she will be in the near future!

This time I used Pool Party for my ink color and colored in the Diamond with my Blender pen.  I also did some embossing with Silver, which is her rank right now, to tie it altogether!  I also used the Stitched Square framelits for the main sentiment.  The ribbon is retired Pool Party Seam Binding.

I needed to send a thank you note to one of my Young Living uplines to thank her for a book she sent me when I meet a goal.  Since she is a Diamond, I thought this card would be appropriate to send to her!

Tranquil Tulips Thank You

Well I'm here, just alittle bit late in posting, was busy yesterday doing other things around the house.  Saturday night, I went to my 45th High School Reunion, GASP!!  I can't be that old, can I??!!

On to the card.  I found this card at Tracy Gray's blog and she found it at Erica Cerwin's blog, either way, it is a beautiful card and I wanted to make one.  I did change it up a bit, but I was inspire by both of them!  I made two cards, which I do anytime I make a card, so one is a Thank You and one is for my friend, so a Friend card.  I did fussy cut the tulips out for this card, but you could easily arrange your flowers so you don't have to do that.

Here is what I used:

Vertical Greetings

Well the weekend is finally here.  I have a non-Christmas card to share with all of you today.

I've had this stamp set for awhile and was decided to pull it out and make a quick card to share with you.  As I have shared in the past, each year I make some cards up to give to the assisted living facility where my daughter works.  They have all kinds of items donated to them and then they hold a auction where anyone can place a bid.  All monies raised are then donated to the Alzheimer's Association!  Last year my donation helped raise $50.00!!

To get a two-tone effect on the greenery, I colored in with Pear Pizzazz marker and then "thumped" over it with my Old Olive marker.  The stems were color in with my Crumb Cake marker.

Herb Expressions

A quick share today.  I needed a thank you card and pulled out this stamp set to send to a friend who is teaching me about Essential Oils.  I used the note cards that Stampin' Up! sells and this card was done in 15 minutes!!

I also used Wisteria Wonder card stock and Stampin' Write marker to color in the lavender with and then Pear Pizzaz writer too.

Touches of Textures

Today I want to share a card that I made after watching a video by Jackie Bolhuis.  You can view the video HERE  it makes a really nice, easy, quick card, I just love this technique!

I used the same stamp set, inks and paper as Jackie did except I use a larger card base as my husband wanted to send his friend a thank you card for the time he was visiting at their house.

I used the Another Thank You stamp set for the sentiment, it is retired, but any stamp set you have would be perfect!!

Totally Trees and Day at the Beach

About two weeks ago my daughter and her little family got to go to Florida for five days, her in-laws were very generous and they paid for their air fare to come and stay with them at the condo they rent each February.  Now it would have been great, but both my daughter and grandson were sick, grandson had a double ear infection and daughter had a nasty sinus infection, but the plane tickets had been purchased over a month ago, so off they went.  It was Wesley's first time to be at the beach and the ocean.  They were still able to enjoy themselves too.

I decided that I would make a couple of thank you cards for my daughter to send to her in-laws, thanking them for a wonderful trip.  I couldn't decided which one to give her, so I gave them both to her and she can decide which to send.

The first one is made with the retired Totally Trees, which just retired, which I CASE'd from Sabrina.

I found this card on Pinterest, which was a full size card but I used the Note cards to make this.

Ink: Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

For the second card, I used a current Occasions set called Day at the Beach.

The Thank You is retired.  Markers: Peekaboo Peach, Real Red, Dapper Denim, Bermuda Bay and I used the new Watercolor Pencils to color in the sunglass lens with Basic Gray.  Images where stamped with Black Staz-On.

Floral Phrases Thank You

Well here we are at the end of the week, I'm ready for the week-end so that I can get into the craft room and do some more creating, my way to de-stress!

While I had the Floral Phrased stamp set on my table, I decided to make a thank you card for a recent online order, thanks Julie and friends for your order!

I decided to use a color I haven't used for a very long time, Rose Red.  I used it for my ink color and card stock and also Whisper White.  I also used my Stampoholic stamping tool to try and get my images where I wanted them.  I still need to get the hang of using this tool, but it did come in handy for this card.  I see more practice is needed, which will be a fun task to do!

Jar of Love

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are all doing well and haven't melted from all of this heat!  Our temp's are unbearable right now, mostly because of the high humidity, ugh!

I recently got this stamp set and have had so much fun making different scenes with it.  This one is for a recent online order that someone placed with me, I hope she likes it!  Thank you Caron for the order too!!

Wetlands

Well, here is the last card that I made for the auction at my daughter's workplace.  The only other thing I have to do is finish a card holder to hold all the cards in, which I almost have done, whew!

I once again turned to one of my favorites, Wetlands, to make this card with.  Can you tell I like it?!

I believe this is called the Spotlight Technique.  You can use any shape you'd like, so I decided to use my retired Circle Framelits, I used the second one from the scalloped circle in case you have these.  I cut it out using copy paper, then I used some removal adhesive to hold my cut out in place.

I used the Thick Whisper White for my card base and then a regular piece of Whisper White for the card front.  I used Soft Sky, Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake ink and Stampin' Sponge wedges to apply the ink with.  When I was done sponging I stamped the birds with Memento black ink and the grass with Crumb Cake ink.

This is another fast, easy and no extra postage required card!  Mary

Inspired By Nature

I went through some of my older retired stamp sets and came across this one.  Even though it has been retired for about five years now, I still like the images in this set, Inspired By Nature.  Shame on me, I bought this from my downline five years ago and just now got around to inking it up!  I used sponge daubers to apply the ink to the stamp and then "huffed" on it to re-moisten the ink for stamping.

I used Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stock.  The inks are, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso and Always Artichoke.  After I had my image stamped, I light sponged some Pear Pizzazz to the bottom of the card.  I then used some retired Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding to the bottom.

The thank you is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped in Black Memento ink.

I can see myself using this stamp set quite a bit in the future.  Thanks for coming by,  Mary

Rose Wonder

Happy Wednesday to all of you, I hope you all have recovered from the festivities of the Fourth!  We laid low at our house, like we usually do and hung out with the dogs.

I've had these cards done for the past week, but things have been pretty busy at my house lately and I just now found time to share the cards this week with you.

For this thank you card, I used the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I used Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White card stock.  I then used Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz ink pads to dab the colors onto my stamp.  This makes a quick card.  If you aren't comfortable using your ink pads, you could use sponge daubers also to get the ink onto the stamp.

Another nice, flat card that will not require any extra postage for mailing.

You're Sublime

Good day to all my blogger friends, I hope your day has started off well.  It is a very hot week here in our part of the country, summer has finally arrived.

I needed to send a thank you card to send to my cousin, she was so sweet to me and gave me a really nice gift, she also likes to stamp too!  I just wish we lived closer so we could get together and have some stamping fun.

This cute little set, I feel, gets overlooked in the catalog and I've seen some really cute cards made with it.  I hope she likes it!

I've had this stamp set sitting on my craft table for about a week and finally got around to inking it up yesterday.  It has a lot of nice images and I've seen so many cute cards made with it.

I also use a second stamp set, Awesomely Artistic, to stamp a small portion to look like the swing is under a arbor filled with flowers!  The grass and flowers under the swing are from Sheltering Tree.

I decided to leave the sentiment off the front and added the sentiment on the inside.  I think it looks so peaceful and restful.  I stamped the pillows on Whisper White and colored one with Melon Mambo and Pool Party.  The seat cushion was also colored with Pool Party and Island Indigo.  The flowers on top are Blushing Bride and the green I used is Pear Pizzazz.  The swing was colored in with Crumb Cake.

Washi Tape Thank You

I needed to make two thank you cards and wanted them to be simple and easy.  I found this card over on Susan Itell's blog.  Susan made a square card for hers but I didn't want to do a square one, so I pulled out my notecards and envelopes and made that size instead.  I really like Stampin' Up!'s notecards, you get 20 cards and envelopes for $6.00, it is a really good deal!!

I used a lot of retired products on this one, the DSP is Sweet Sorbet, the card stock is Pistachio Pudding and the baker's twine is Pool Party.  The sentiment is from a retired stamp set Regarding Dahlia.  The background is from the current Gorgeous Grunge, love that set, hope it doesn't retire next month!!

Timeless Textures

Good morning on the start of a new week, my January sure did go by fast this year didn't it.

I had a customer order from me a few weeks ago, so I needed to send her a thank you card.  I found this card on Melissa's blog and saved it to my Pinterest board so that I could CASE it.  She used a different stamp set for the heart image than what I used, but it is pretty much the same in all the rest of the elements.

I really hope that they keep this stamp set and that we see it in the annual catalog that is coming out in about three months, it has a lot of nice images in the set.

I used the thick Whisper White for my card base, if you haven't used this, you should, it makes a nice sturdy card base.  I then used Sahara Sand, which I stamped off once for a nice soft image.  Then I used Rose Red for the "pop" of color and finally used the Greeting Thinlits and cut the "thanks" out using Silver Glimmer paper.  For the heart image I use the stamp set Hello Life.  This card would make a quick and easy Valentine card by simply changing out the thin lit image!  To see the image better, just click on it to enlarge it.

Blooming with Kindness

Happy New Year's!  I hope you all had a wonderful and safe celebration.  Hubby and I stayed home and had a nice quite evening together.  I have my little grandson today, Mom and Dad have to work.  He is such a happy little guy!

I needed some thank you notes for a few Christmas gifts I received and I used the pre-maded notecards that Stampin' Up! sells, so it makes a quick note.  So this is what I came up with.

I used the Blooming with Kindness stamp set and the Watercolor Thank You.  I used Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, and Sahara Sand inks.  So easy and could easily be massed produced and no extra postage required!

Good day to you all.

Today I'm sharing a card that I made using the Notecards that Stampin' Up! sells.  You get 20 cards with envelope for $6.00!  It really is a great value for the price.

I used Marina Mist, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink colors.  The flower centers were colored in with a Stampin' Write marker, Crushed Curry.  Another quick and easy card that requires no extra postage.
