Sympathy Card for a Female, #4

Hi everyone, hope your week is off to a great start!

Today I'm sharing a sympathy card that I made to send to my cousins who live in Iowa, their mother, my aunt, passed away. We were unable to attend the funeral due to travel time needed. I feel so bad when we can't make the funeral, but hope they understand and that my card will let them know that we have them in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time.

Supplies used were all Stampin Up'

Whisper White and Pretty In Pink card stock

Pretty In Pink, Rose Red and Certainly Celery ink &/or markers

oval and scallop oval punch

Pretty In Pink ribbon

A Card for Spring

Well I hope everyone is having a great day today, the sun is out and suppose to be in the 60's today, yea! Spring is coming next week too.

I wanted to share with you a card(s) that I found in my e-mail box one day. These cards are completely CASE'd from Gretchen Barron, you can see hers HERE. Are they not just the most impressive cards! I really like the clean and simple design of these cards. Of course, her pictures are so much better than mine. Her sponging is much better than mine (I didn't have a sponge so I used a sponge dauber, so mine is not quite as even as hers is). These took only about 15 minutes to make, super quick and easy.

Masculine Sympathy Card

Hi everyone! Well, I'm almost over my cold, thank goodness!

My husband got an e-mail from one of his former co-workers the other day telling him that his mother had passed away. His mother was in her 90's! From what his friend told him, that it was expected but it is still very hard to lose our loved ones. I told my husband that I would make him a card to send, and this is what I made. I used Stampin' Up's Thought & Prayers. I think of all the stamp sets that I have, I think this is the one that I have used the most. You can use the tree images on it for so many different occasions. Masculine cards can be tricky to make and I did struggle with this one, it just seem to need "something else" but could not think of what it would be, so I just left it very simple.

Sympathy Card for a Female, #3

One of my husband's cousin's wife recently lost her mother. Here is the card that I made to send to them to let them know we were thinking about them.

I used the stamp set called "Thoughts & Prayers" from Stampin' Up. I also used their scalloped oval punch and regular oval punch and their markers to color in the stamp. Cardstock is Bazzill and ribbon is from Jo-Ann's. I also used Versamark ink and lightly sponge the edges with a sponge dabber.

Sympathy Card for a Male

Well as you can see from the post title, I needed to make another sympathy card, this time for a cousin who loss her father-in-law. I tried to make this card more masculine. This card is made based on a sympathy card that we received after the loss of my husband's mother, thanks Chanda for your beautiful card. I used chalks for the background, this created a soft, muted look. I than used my Stampin' Up stamp set called "Thoughts & Prayers" for the image and sentiment on the front. Hopefully this will be the last sympathy card that I need to make for awhile.

Get Well Card

This is a card that I made last week for my husband's uncle, he suffered a mild stroke and the family had requested no visitors or phone calls. Yes, the greeting is not straight, I'm learning how to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig. The stamp set is from Stampin'Up and is called, "Thoughts & Prayers". It is worth the investment to have it on hand because one always needs a get well or sympathy card and it is a versatile set. The designer paper is from Scrap Ease and I've had it for sometime now. I think the choice of colors and design are perfect for a man!

Get Well Soon

This card was made for my daughter's boss who was in the hospital. The stamp set is Stampin Up- Thoughts & Prayers. I used Stampin Up Markers and use the technique called, "Direct to Rubber". That is when you color the image with different color markers and than righ before you stamp your image onto paper, you "huff" on it to re-moisten the ink. Very easy to do and the results are very nice too. Thanks for stopping by....
