Wondrous Wreath

Here is my version of the Wondrous Wreath, with fall colors.  I used Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze for the wreath.  For the flowers I used Elegant Eggplant, Blackberry Bliss and Pumpkin Pie, the leaves are Old Olive.  The flowers on the wreath are from the same stamp set and I used the matching Framelits to do all of the cutting.  The Pumpkin Pie seam binding is retired.  I used the Brick Wall embossing folder for my background layer and lightly sponged the raised parts with White Craft ink to help define the mortar a little bit more.  I don't send out Thanksgiving cards, so I made it into a birthday card instead.

Happy Scenes

I have seen a lot of cards made with the new Leaf Framelits, but I don't have them, so I went to the craft closet and got out my retired Sizzix die from last year and made do!  Here is my take on this cute card.

The card base is Pumpkin Pie, the next layer is Crumb Cake that has the Hardwood background on it, I found this in my stash!  I then place a piece of Very Vanilla card stock on my die and cut out the leave shape.  I used the Happy Scenes stamp set and used the fall scene for the leave.  I sponged on Soft Sky, Old Olive and then used markers to color in the image.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set, stamped using Soft Suede ink, hand cut the banner and added a Candy Dot.  I used a scrap piece of Burlap ribbon to go under the little banner.  Oh, I did lightly sponge under the leave to help it pop off the card stock and also some dimensionals too.

Among The Branches, Christmas #2

Here is another take on the embossing folder, Among the Branches, Christmas.  This time I used different color of ink and I like the lighter tone better.

On this one I used Pool Party and lightly brayer the color on the embossing folder.  I also took a sponge dauber and lightly applied Smoky Slate to the trees to highlight it a bit more.  I used Whisper White card stock for the embossed image, Pool Party for the card base.  Pool Party ink was used to stamp the sentiment.  I also used the 1/8" silver ribbon and Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details.
