Canine Capers

Well, next week is Christmas.  I hope everyone is happy and jolly and having a great time.

Today I'm sharing a card that I made to send to a young man, 11, who has been fighting brain cancer since he was five.  Things are not looking very good for him right now and cards where requested to send him some happy mail to try and cheer him up.  They stated that he likes dogs, so that is what I made to send to him, I hope it puts a smile on his face.

You've seen me use this set before.  I'm always on the look out for animal stamp sets and ones that can be used for teenagers too.  I see I forgot to color in the butterfly, darn.

I hope you have a great Monday, Mary.

Joyful Christmas

Good Sunday to all of you!  I hope your day is off to a wonderful start too.

Today I'm going to share the belly band that I made to go over the take-out box.  I think I told you that this year I was cutting back on my Christmas baking.  These are some Wonderful Sugar Cookies that a little Mom and Pop restaurant makes that is just minutes away from our house, they are the BOMB!!  I bought some on Tuesday to give to one of my clients on Wednesday, as a little gift to her, she has been under the weather and I told her these would make her feel much better!

As you can see, I used the poinsettia from the stamp set, Joyful Christmas.  I used white embossing powder and cut it out.  I also used a bow from the Pretty Presents Designer Bows and the Frosted Finishes Embellishments for the center of the flower.  The card stock is Cherry Cobbler.  It was very easy to do and made my very plain box look wonderful!  She was very excited about the cookies and the pretty belly band!

I hope this has inspired you to try you hand at making a take-out box to a whole new level!  Mary

Label Flip Card

Good Friday morning too all, I hope your day is off to a wonderful start.

I would like to share today a double flip card that I made after watching a video by Glenda Calukins.  I mailed it off to a little boy fighting cancer and he requested Christmas cards.  I thought he might like how the card opens and flips.

Here it is closed.

Here it is open:

I hope he has fun opening and closing it too.

Have a great week-end!  Mary

Snow Day

Today I want to show you a fun Christmas card.  This card uses the kit I've mention before and the Snow Day stamp set but this time I made the snowman into a snow hula lady!

Doesn't this card bring a smile to your face, so cute!  The skirt is made with the large Oval punch and flowers are from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.

Have a great day!  Mary

I had a lot of fun coloring in this image.  To see a larger picture, click on it.

Even More Joyful Christmas

Hi everyone, today will be the last day showing you my Joyful Christmas cards.  I have really liked trying my hand at all the different colors.

First one is made using Pool Party ink:

The last one is one where I sponged White craft ink on the back.  I don't think you would really need to do this, just leave the vellum the color it comes in.

Well, this is what I've created so far, I may come back to this stamp set again in the future with some other ideas.  Thank you for stopping in,  Mary.
