Hi everyone, Happy Monday to all of you! Today I want to share a little tutorial with all of you. I found this idea
HERE. When I saw this idea, I had to go into the recycle bin and pull out some of the Stampin' Up! paper that had just come with my last order. Good thing no one was looking too!
Now I took a small amount of the paper and tore it into strips. Did you now that it comes perforated? Yep it does, so I tore it into smaller strips and folded it over and I ran it thru the Big Shot with the new Autumn Accents Bigz Die. I was able to cut out eight leaves at one time, so it made quick work of this!
Next I lined up my Old Olive, More Mustard and Cajun Craze ink pads along with my sponges. You can see my stack of leaves.
First I sponged on some Old Olive in the center of the leave, you could use Always Artichoke, sponge on as much as you want.
Then I sponged on some More Mustard next to and overlapping some onto the Old Olive and out to the edges of the leaves.
Next I sponged on some Cajun Craze, mainly on the outer parts of the leave.
Then turn your leave over and press it onto your Early Espresso ink pad, not a whole lot, just some. Then take and crumble up the leave and then uncrumble it. Then I sprayed it with homemade Glimmer mist made with rubbing alcohol and Champagne Mist Shimmer paint.
Here you can see all of my leaves are done and I'm letting the dry.
As you can see, you will have some very inky fingers! I made these for some Thanksgiving invites for my daughter to send out. I was a fun project to do on a rainy, cold Saturday!
Now on Wednesday, I will share with you the invites that I made, so come on back to see them!!
Now if you don't have any packing paper you could use Kraft paper or even just your colored card stock if you are in a hurry and need a quick card.
Thanks for dropping in! Mary
