Vivid Vases

Good day to all of my blogging friends, I hope your week if off to a wonderful start too!

Today is the last day that you can order and receive free Sale-A-Bration items. Also, there is only one month left to redeem for a free stamp set if you bought six or more of the Best of Series that Stampin' Up! offered during their 25 years of Stampin' Up! celebration.

Today I'm sharing a card that I made with the Vivid Vase single stamp.  Why I haven't used it sooner is a mystery to me.  It makes a really cute card and is oh so quick too!

I used a left-over piece of embossed paper, it was embossed with the Argyle embossing folder.  I used some Gold Foil to mat all of my pieces with.  The image was stamped with StazOn Black ink and then with a blender pen, I pick up some color from my Gold Metallic Encore ink pad to lightly shade the vases with.  Used various color markers to color the flowers in with, nice and subtle, just what I wanted.  To find the size of my Very Vanilla card stock, I just measured the wood block the stamp is mounted on, easy peasy and then just added a quarter of an inch to both sides for a nice, small mat.  I love how it turned out too!

Monstermaniacs

Today I'm going for a light hearted, fun card!  My daughter is having a rough time at work right now and I wanted to let her know that I'm thinking of her and behind her 100%.

At one time Stampin' Up! had a contest open where anyone could submit some of their drawings and they would let people vote for the winner, this was one of those sets.  I wasn't interested in it at first, but then there are times when I need images that I think I can use to make cards for kids.  I think this one will work!  I had a lot of fun playing with this set too.

I used some of the Sale-A-Bration items (which will end on March 31, 2014) to make this card, Sweet Sorbet DSP, Decorative Dots embossing folder.  Then I use some Stretch Ruffled Ribbon, in Crisp Cantaloupe, Just Sayin' stamp set and the matching Word Bubble Framelits, the On Film Framelits too. Card stock is Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Whisper White and Basic Black.  Ink is Black Staz-On.  I used my blender pen to color in the image with.

I've been in a funk with my stamping and this little set really helped to lift me out of it, I hope it brings a smile to your face too!  Mary

Happy Watercolor

Good Monday morning to all of you, I hope your week if off to a great start!

Well today will be my last day for using the retired Pretty In Pink.  This is the last card front that I had laying around in the craft room and I thought today I would pair it with a current Spring Occasion stamp set, Happy Watercolor.  This stamp set has a lot of wonderful stamps in it too!

Sorry about the picture, it's been very gloomy here and it's hard to get a good picture.  On this one I used the new Scallop Tag Topper punch and then I just cut the strip of Whisper White to the length I wanted.  I used my blender pen to color in the image, using Pool Party and Pear Pizzaz inks.  The card stock is Pool Party, Pretty In Pink (retired) and Whisper White.  This was a easy card to make and I turned this one into a "love note" card, stamping "love you" on the inside using the Love You to the Moon stamp set.  A nice way to let someone know that you are thinking of them too!

Hello Doily

Well, on to another card front using the Hello Doily and En Francais background stamps.  I hope you are getting some useful ideas from me!

Now I will admit, I'm on the fence with this one, I just don't know if I like it or not.  But I'll share it with all of you.  I used the Adorning Accents Edgelits to the side of this card, was trying to think outside the box on this one.  I added some retired DSP to the inside edge for some added color along with the Petite Petals.  Some Basic Pearls and Rhinestones for some bling.

Hello Doily

Good Wednesday morning to all of you!  Only one more day until Spring!!  Yea, but I know some of you still have snow on the ground in your part of the country, here, it's just gray and blah.  Although, my tulips are peeking thru the ground and I did trim some of our bushes last week, getting them ready for the coming year.

On today's card I'm still using a left-over card front, trying to use them up.

For this one I cut the card front into strips and added them to the card base.  I stamped on a flag that was laying on the table, also the silver flag was a piece hanging out on the craft table.  I added the button for a pop of color.

Card stock and ink are the retired Pretty In Pink, the Doily image is embossed with White embossing powder, background stamp is En Francais, Happy Birthday is from Remembering Your Birthday, button is from the In Color Boutique Details, which I think are on the Weekly Deals this week too!

Hello Doily

Today's card was made with a left-over card front.  I've had this laying by my card stock for TOO long and decided to finally use it.  I still have about three more to use, so you may see more cards made with this stamp set in the coming weeks.

When I made these card fronts, Pretty In Pink was still a current color.  Now it is retired but I hate to throw away good card stock, that's the thrifty in me coming out.  I did use a new punch and stamp set called Petite Petals.  I also use the background stamp, En Francais, with Pretty In Pink ink.  The doily image was stamped with VersaMark ink, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set to bring out the doily image.  I lightly sponged the embossed image with Pretty In Pink to add depth.  The sentiment is from Wetlands stamped onto a flag.  Pearls were added to the flower centers.

This card came together quickly because the majority of it was already done for me.  I really like this Doily stamp, every time I see it, it reminds me of my Grandmother, who loved to crochet and had many, many doilies on her furniture, yes, even the couch arms!

Hi everyone I hope it is warmer in your part of the country, it's still COLD here, where in the world is spring anyway?!

Here is a card that I made one day just playing around in the craft room.  I love the soft pastel colors in this paper that is free during Sale-A-Bration!

I used the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper that is free during Sale-A-Bration, love FREE!!  I also used one of the Banner Framelits to use behind the cupcake, which was punched out with the Cupcake Builder punch.  Some Pistachio Pudding Stretch Ribbon and there you have a simple and easy cake.
