Hi everyone! Are we all well done by now, or do we need to be flipped over and cooked some more!? I sure hope it cools down sometime soon, alot of the yards around here are all brown and it is like walking on straw.
Today I used a stamp set that needs to have more use than what I've been giving it, it's really a easy stamp to use, it is what they call a two-step stamp. First you stamp the out line, than you stamp the inside. I've seen where some stamp the outline on designer paper, that is also another way to use it too.
This one is one I will send out as a RAK to a young women who will be going thru cancer surgery again and needs some cheering up. I hope my simple card will brighten her day some. I used Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Marina Mist card stock. For the ink I used Marina Mist, Pretty In Pink, Black, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz. Seam binding is also Marina Mist. The sentiment is from the On the Grow stamp set. I also lightly sponged the edges of Whisper White with some Marina Mist. All products are Stampin' Up!.
I think that is all for this post and please stay cool and make sure to check on your older friends to make sure they are staying hydrated and cool too. Have a great day....................Mary

Elegant Bouquet Thank You Card
Hello, hello, hello! I'm so glad you are here to visit with me!
Ok, here is a card that I made to give to my husbands' boss. My husband is going to retire on Friday after working for the government for over 40 years! My hubby didn't want a big retirement party, so just his immediate co-workers, him, oldest daughter and I went out for a nice lunch at one of his favorite BBQ places. Hubby's boss was so kind to buy our lunch for us, so I needed to write a nice thank you note to let him know how much we enjoyed and appreciated his kindness!
I ran the Crumb Cake card front thru the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. Than with a piece of Marina Mist, I embossed it with the rectangle Designer Frames. I cut a piece of Whisper White to insert inside of the frame. I used the Sincere Salutations and Crumb Cake ink for the sentiment. Now, if I would have been making this for a female I would have added some ribbon. Very simple and easy to do! All products are Stampin' Up!.
Thanks for stopping in, hope you have a crafty day................Mary

Hello Card
Hi everyone! Hope your week starts out good and continues that way too!
Today I want to share an easy card that I made. My friend Linda (Hi Linda!!) came over last Friday after we had gone out for our monthly breakfast date. She's asked me a number of times to come and see how I make a card, so I shoveled out the dirt and dog hair in the house and said "come on over". I recently got this stamp and it was out on my table, so I grabbed it and a few markers and this is what I stamped. Than I sprayed some homemade glimmer mist on it, of course you can't see that in the picture but we could! Than I showed her how to sponge around the edges to add more color to the front. I asked her if she wanted to try and she said no...I'm going to work on her and have her come back and teach her how to have fun! I told her that later I would do something with it, and here is the card that I came up with. I used a piece of seam binding leftover from another card, just enough to make this pretty bow for the front of the card. Ran some Marina Mist thru the tulip embossing folder and added to Pear Pizzazz behind the stamped image. I colored in the stamp with Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso.
All products used were Stampin' Up!.
Thanks to stopping in to see me, would love to hear from you, have a great week! Mary

Lace Ribbon Thank You Card
Hi everyone, just click on my blog and saw it was blank! I swore that I had something written (it's 6:10 pm here in KC). So I better get busy and tell you about my card!
I recently got some new items to stamp and punch and play with, so I had to make a card. The paper is called Pool Party and I just love the color of it! The embossing folder is a mini one, it comes in a set of two and this one is just so elegant, love how this turned out! Than the punch piece is a new Lace Ribbon punch. I dressed it up by punching out 1 inch circles of black card stock that I glued to the back, just the right touch of color to the card. The sentiment is from a stamp set called, Watercolor Trio, which is retired. All of the products are from Stampin' Up!. I found the inspiration for this card at rubberfunatics.
Hope you enjoyed our visit and hope to see you soon! Mary

Blossom Bouquet Thank You Card
Hi everyone!! Hope your day is going great!
I got to play in my craft room a couple days ago and here is a card that I made. I found the layout for this card at TwoHappyStampers. I don't have all of the colors of card stock that they used so I used what I had on hand and also made this for my daughter to use. I apologize for the not-so-wonderful picture, looks so much better in real life.
I used all Stampin' Up! products and here is the card recipe:
Stamp set:Pretty Postage
Ink:Stazon white
Card stock:Pretty In Pink, Whisper White and Black
Punches:Postage Stamp,Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer, Scallop Edge and small flower-non SU
Pearls
Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder
Tombow glue (green and white bottle)
dimensionals
Thanks for dropping in to see me and have a crafty day too..................Mary

Sunny Fun
Hi everyone, hope you are are staying cool, we are having a heat wave, for the next 5 days, 99 degrees or more everyday! I feel sorry for people who don't have any air conditioning.
A couple weeks ago, our neighbors asked us to come over for hot dogs and swimming. Now the hot dog part I'm cool with, but the swimming part, well let's just say that my body hasn't seen a bathing suit in over 10 years! So hubby and I enjoyed sitting by the pool and talking, we even got to meet some other neighbors, which is always nice!
When I saw this stamp set in the holiday mini, I immediately thought of our next door neighbors, this is a really fun set to have. It also has flip-flops and various ice cream treats too, will have to show you the others soon.
Card Recipe (All SU products unless noted):
Stamp set: Sunny Fun
Card stock: Pool Party, Whisper White, Early Espresso and So Saffron
Ink pads: Pool Party, Stazon-black and Bashful Blue
Various markers to color in the image (I LOVE to color!)
Blender pen, sponges
Flip-flop punch: non SU

All Occasion Card using Strength & Hope
Hi everyone, hope you are having a great day today!
I wanted to share a simple and easy card with you today. I'm trying to get my mojo back and this is a good start to getting back into the card making groove, you know what I mean, "wink"! I was off all last week and had great plans to be in my craft room the whole time, but it just seemed to happen, there was always something else more important that would come up and I just didn't get awhole lot done, unless you consider cleaning the house so the health department didn't come and put tape across the doors important!!
OK, enough with the blabber, no I didn't forget to put a sentiment on the front of the card, I left it blank on purpose so if I needed a card really quick, all I would have to do is make one and stick it on, love that! I cut some squares and rotated them to get the background under the butterfly.
Card Recipe (All Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Strength & Hope, EnFrancais, Solid Stripes (I used this to make my own designer paper under the butterfly!)
Ink: Pretty In Pink, Pear Pizzazz
Card stock:Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz and Pretty In Pink
Pearls
Dazzling Diamonds (you'll have to click on the picture to see it better)
Glue pen
