You Brighten My Day

Hello to all, I hope you are all staying well, cool and dry, in different parts of the States!  Our part is very humid right now, when you go outside you feel like you could melt!

I needed to make a New Home card for my friends' daughter and I looked around at my stamp sets to see what I could use and came across this little gem.  Sorry, all of the stamps are retired, as is the punch that worked perfect with this set, but I just had to use it.

I found this card over on Pinterest, because I needed the card ASAP and didn't have the time to "think" about making one on my own.  I did change it just a bit so, it is not a fully Case'd card.

Stamp sets: You Brighten My Day, Hello Love and Holiday Home (sentiment)
Card stock: Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Real Red and Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso and Soft Sky
Candy Dots
Hearts Border punch

I hope my friend likes her gift and the card too!  Thanks for coming by and hope to see you soon.  Mary

Corner Garden in Pastels

Today's card is called Take 2.  When I was making the Blue Corner Garden and embossing my background piece I thought I would try it with White card stock and white embossing to see how it would turn out.  I used a blender pen and different colors of ink, squishing the ink onto the top of my ink pads.  Did you know that you can transfer ink that way with Stampin' Up! ink pads?  Makes it very handy when coloring in images!

If you want to get a closer look at the card, just click on the picture.

I really like how this turned out.  My shading need some work but over all I like it!  I made this card to send to a friend who is in the hospital, I hope it cheers her up and let's her know I'm thinking of her.

Stamp set: Corner Garden and Wetlands
Card stock: Pink Pirouette and Whisper White
Ink: Versa Mark, Black Memento, Wisteria Wonder, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Tangelo Twist, Pink Pirouette
Blender Pen
Basic Pearl
Butterfly Wings Embosslit-retired
White embossing powder

I hope you give this a try and like it too!  Mary

Corner Garden

Happy Fourth of July weekend.  I hope you all have a safe, one too.  Mine will be quite, but that is OK as I have somethings to do around the house!

I found out yesterday that my husband's cousins' wife was moved to a rehab hospital in Lincoln, NE.  Her journey is just beginning and she will have a long way to go yet before it is done.  I got her address so that I can mail her a card, every once in awhile, to help keep her spirits up.

I found a card like this over on Facebook, from a lady in the United Kingdom, so I wanted to try my hand at it too!

To see a larger picture of this card, click on the picture.

I used VersaMark ink and then white embossing powder for the image and the sentiment.  I used Craft White re-inker and a blender pen to "color" in the flowers.  My card stock is Soft Sky mounted on Whisper White, with 5/8" satin ribbon on the one corner.  I used my Embosslit- Beautiful Wings-retired for the small butterfly.  I added a small pearl to the center of the butterfly too.  The sentiment is from the retired set called Friendly Phrases.  I like how soft the stamped image is.

Thank you for coming to see my latest creation too.   Mary

Well as promised, I'm back to share the card that I made using the Note Tag punch to make a "window" cut out where you can stamp your image or sentiment in.  You can view Dawn O. video on how to do this HERE

I'm still using the retired DSP called Sweet Sorbet for my trial tries with this punch.  This time I embossed the background with the new Brick Wall embossing folder, what a fun way to had depth to your background!  The stamp is from the May 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack
Rhinestones
Memento Black Ink

Oh, I hope you are going to the Clearance Rack to see the new items added and getting what you want before it is all gone, some really good deals!!

Note Tag Thank You Card

Hi everyone, I hope your Monday is starting off great!  I'm having breakfast with my friend this morning, it's nice to get together and chat for a couple hours!

The baby shower was this past Saturday afternoon and all of our hard work paid off, everything looked so cute and my daughter and her husband really enjoyed themselves too!  They received many nice gifts for the "little peanut".

Yesterday there was a cute trick on how to use your Note Tag Punch in a different way, so I went to the craft room and created a couple of simple cards to share with you.  Dawn O. has a great video on her blog that explains how to make the window with the punch.  You can view the video HERE.

Sorry but I used retired DSP to try this out with, Sweet Sorbet.  Lovely Amazing You is not in the catalog but can be found HERE

Punch: Note Tag and flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack
Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder
Ink: Pool Party
Card stock: Whisper White, Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Pistachio Pudding-retired
Pearls

Come back Wednesday and see another way to use this punch, I will be doing a birthday card for that one!

See you soon!  Mary
