Masculine Sympathy Card

Hi everyone! Well, I'm almost over my cold, thank goodness!
My husband got an e-mail from one of his former co-workers the other day telling him that his mother had passed away. His mother was in her 90's! From what his friend told him, that it was expected but it is still very hard to lose our loved ones. I told my husband that I would make him a card to send, and this is what I made. I used Stampin' Up's Thought & Prayers. I think of all the stamp sets that I have, I think this is the one that I have used the most. You can use the tree images on it for so many different occasions. Masculine cards can be tricky to make and I did struggle with this one, it just seem to need "something else" but could not think of what it would be, so I just left it very simple.
I hope you all have a happy, crafty day.....................Mary

You're right, Mary. It is very simple, but with a sympathy card, sometimes I think that's a good thing. I think it's very 'handsome'. :) How nice of you to send a handmade card to him.

Mary, Your sentiment and a follow up phone call from your DH to his former coworker will uplift him and his family in weeks to come. Blessings on each of you.
You mentioned needing something. Do you like more texture simply stamping the bough/ limb of a tree in Versa mark/ water mark on bp green at random intervals? Stud tops under the verse inked and dried to match sentiment ink is another option before sending. CAS is always good; you did just fine, very handsome card.
Keep Looking UP!
