Secret Garden Watercolor

Happy Hump Day!  I hope your week is going smoothly too.

Here is a card that I found over on Pinterest and just love how soft and pretty the colors all seem to go together on here.  I tried a new technique, for me, using watercolor paper, a mister, aqua brush and re-inkers.  First I heat embossed my watercolor paper with the images I wanted with white embossing powder, then cut them out with the coordinating framelits.  Then I used a mister filled with water and lightly misted the paper with water.  I put a drop of re-inker on a clear acrylic block, picked up some with my wet aqua painter and dab it onto the center of my image and let it flow out to the edges.  Very simple but you do have to allow for drying time, so I let mine dry over night.  I die cut out the leaves and embossed my Pool Party background with the Honeycomb embossing folder.  Use a flag framelit from the Hearts a Flutter Framelit collection and used Pink Pirouette paper and used Pink Pirouette ink to stamp a flower image on the flag too.  Once the flowers were dried, I popped them up on dimensionals and adhered the background to a piece of Whisper White card stock.

Thanks for stopping in and I would love to hear your comments too,  Mary.
