Elegant Christmas
Good Christmas Eve Day! Well the most joyous day of the year is almost here. This afternoon, hubby and I will go to the children's Mass and enjoy the sights and sounds of what Christmas is all about, the birth of Baby Jesus! It's so much fun to see their little faces full of excitment and to hear their pure, child-like voices singing too!
I found this card HERE. Now I used the pleated ribbon that I still have some of and used a retired Christmas sentiment too. Made small flags and added punched out shapes from the Merry Mini punch pack. Another simple but elegant card.
Thanks for dropping in and Merry Christmas too! Mary

Very Vanilla Christmas
Hi everyone, I've had this card sitting in the "draft" section of my blog, too much going on I guess!
As you can see I use the Argyle embossing folder to make a embossed strip to which I added a thin strip of red Glimmer paper, so pretty! Then I use the Postage Stamp punch and punched out four squares. I used the new Merry Mini punch pack to punch out three designs, behind one I added some Champagne glimmer paper. Stamped a sentiment and flagged one end. Used some dimensionals and had a beautiful card to send. I found this card HERE.
Thanks for stopping by! Mary

Christmas Deer
Hi. Well the big day will soon be here, are we all ready for it?
I found this card and just had to give it a try. This would make a nice man card, without the bird and ornaments hanging from the deer, for anytime of the year. I found the original card HERE. I used Early Espresso ink for the deer and sentiment. The sentiment I used is part of a stamp set that is retired but I only inked up the "Peace" part of the Peace on Earth, I think it turned out really well too! I ran a pieced of Very Vanilla thru the Woodgrain embossing folder and attached it to a card base of Cherry Cobbler. The designer series paper is Festival of Prints.
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing this card, so nice, Thanks! Mary

Pennant Parade Christmas #2
Hello once again!
Here is another card that I made using the Pennant Parade stamp set and Petite Pennant Builder punch. This card is so easy and simple but is so pretty, I really liked how it turned out too! I found this card HERE. I used the Simply Score tool and score some lines. I die cut out some Whisper White, trimmed it down and added a piece of Pear Pizzazz behind that. Stamped two the the trees and then punched out a third one and popped it up on a dimensional. Added some Red Glimmer hearts punched with the Owl Builder punch and also punched out the bigger heart from a retired punch. The greeting is from More Merry Wishes stamp set. Mounted it all to Crumb Cake card base. Tree stands were stamped with Early Espresso ink.
Well I'm off to get some more Christmas stuff done, have a great day! Mary

Angry Bird Birthday Card
Hello, hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Monday today.
Today I want to share a punch art card that I made for my friend, Linda. Her little grandson is going to have a birthday at the end of the month and I surprised her with this card for her grandson. He'll think Grandma is one cool person too when he gets this card from her! I found the tutorial for this angry bird and about three others HERE. All products are from Stampin' Up! except the rubber band. No rubber band? Just use some linen thread or twine in its place.
Well that is all for today, hope you have a great week-end too! Mary

Tidings of Comfort and Joy
Good Wednesday morning to all of you, I hope your day if off to a great start! Mine is. Sorry to miss a post on Monday, but I was busy finishing with my Christmas cards and then I had to take some time to celebrate my birthday too! Yep, I'm a December kid and anyone who has a December birthday will know that you have to make it all about your birthday and not let anyone "combine" it with Christmas! Boy, did that happen a lot when I was a lot younger, as a kid you always feel shortchanged too!
OK, here is a really simple, easy card. You take the Holiday Frame embossing folder with your choice of card stock and run it thru the Big Shot. I also took my Illuminate Glimmer Watermark stamp pad, dab some on for some shimmer, sorry you can't see it in the picture, but it is there, then stamped my image and added a bow. Very fast. You could add some rhinestones to it if you wanted some bling, but I didn't this time. I found this card HERE.
All Products are from Stampin' Up!
Card stock: Midnight Muse and Whisper White
Ink: Midnight Muse
Ribbon: 3/8" Stitched Satin in Midnight Muse
Illuminate Glimmer Watermark
Holiday Frame embossing folder
Glue dot
Well, this is my share for today, I did get all of my Christmas cards done and mailed, huge relief, now onto finishing the Christmas tree decorating! Have a great day, Mary

Christmas Blessings
Well here it is again, Wednesday, as the days fly faster and faster towards Christmas!
Here is another Pinterest find from LeeAnn (flowerbug.typepad.com). Another one that I could not find the direct link too. Wish people would make sure when they pinned items to have it go directly to that page. This card was a bit more tricky, as you had to line up the top and have nice spacing in between the strips and even on both sides, but it does make a nice looking card.
All products are from Stampin' Up!
Stamp set: More Merry Messages and Merry Minis
Card stock: Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz (retired)
Punch: Holiday Punch Pack
Framelit: Apothecary Accents
Northern Flurry Embossing folder
Designer Series paper: Festival of Prints

Snow Festival Tag Christmas Card
Good Monday morning!
Today I want to share a cute card that I found HERE. These cute little tags make a really quick and easy Christmas card! I wish you could see this, it is way cuter in person than what this picture shows and did I say quick? Very quick to make! I used the Northern Flurry embossing folder to emboss my card base with, than cut a strip of the Festival of Lights designer series paper, I just used some Whisper White card stock cut in a thin strip instead of ribbon, but I did make a ribbon knot to dress it up some, so cute!! DONE!!
Thanks for dropping in to see me, Mary!

The Stockings Were Hung with Care
Well, the week-end is almost here, ah I do enjoy Fridays, how about you?
Today's share is another one that I found over on Pinterest. It was pinned from www.flowerbug.typepad.com. I looked all over LeeAnn's site, but could not locate this card, so you will just have to browse around on her site. I will say that her card had only one stocking, but I decided that I wanted to hang a pair up. I used the Tasteful Trim die to make the scallops but you could use the large scallop edgelit too.
All products are from Stampin' Up!
Stamp set: Stitched Stockings and Merry Wishes (both are retired)
Stocking Builder punch (retired)
Card stock: Whisper White, Old Olive
Silver Glimmer paper
Stripes embossing folder
rhinestones
Baker's Twine
Ribbon: Dotted Swiss, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler

Hershey's Kiss and Nuggets Christmas Tree
Good Monday morning to all of you! I hope you had a wonderful holiday with your families and friends and snagged all of those good shopping deals too. I stayed home and will do my shopping in the next couple of weeks.
Today I want to share with you a cute idea that I saw over on the demonstrators website, Stampin Connection. This little tree was shared by Brenda Quintana (Qbee on SCS)! You can find a video and written directions on how to make these cute little trees HERE. The first one you make will take a little bit, until you get the hang on how to fold the inside strips, but after that first one, the rest are a breeze! She even tells you how to do your cutting and scoring so that you can whip these out in no time flat! These would be great as "thinking of you" gifts or for co-workers. I think they would cost around 50 cents or less to make. She suggest putting them in a clear envelope and that helps to hold the candy in place. I forgot to add my little tag before I took this picture, but you can see what her's looks like.
All products are Stampin' Up! except for the candy
Card stock: I used Pear Pizzazz (retired)
Ribbon: Certainly Celery, 1/8th inch
Tombow glue
Sticky strip
Clear envelope
Word Window punch
Teeny Tiny Wishes
Baker's Twine
Well, we are now less than a month away from Christmas, still working on cards, but this was a fun break, try them and you will see how easy they are too! Have a crafty day, Mary

Jolly Bingo Bits
Hi everyone! Today I want to share a card that I got in the mail last month from a new friend and demonstrator that I met at convention last July, Hi Patti!!! There are four of us that swap cards each month and boy do I get some really nice cards too, I'm so lucky! I CASE'd Patti's card and did it almost the same as hers. I did add rhinestones that I colored with a red Sharpie and made the little mat behind the greeting a solid color, but this is pretty much what her's looked like, it is so stink'in cute! Her card pushed me over the fence and I finally bought this stamp set, I'm so glad I did because there are so many cute cards ideas for using this set too. Click on the picture to get a closer view.

Folded Christmas Tree
Well the big feast day is almost here, are we already for it? I am! Yum, can't wait for all of those delicious goodies!
Last year, these folded Christmas trees were very popular. Well as usual, I'm a whole year behind on making some of these cute little cards with a circle cut in half and fold to look like a tree. I found the directions for mine HERE. Now there are all kinds of directions out on the web, but this one came into e-mail box, so this is the one I used. I would suggest using a scrap piece of paper to use for practice until you get the hand of how to do it. It really is not very hard.
All products are from Stampin' Up!
Stamp set is retired and I can't recall the name right now, sorry
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Soft Suede
Designer Series paper: Festival of Prints
Red Glimmer paper
punch: Merry Minis
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Bashful Blue
Glue pen
Dazzling Diamonds
Rhinestone colored red with a red Sharpie
Hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow!! Mary

New app for iPhone
IT'S A NEW APP FROM STAMPIN' UP!
Stampin' Up! has created a card-making application, Simply Sent! This iPhone app allows customers to create an e-card-from a template or completely on their own-and send it via e-mail or post it on Facebook. And it's free!
Here's something you should know about this app: it's not My Digital Studio on a mobile device, not even close. This scaled-back version will only give you a taste of what they can create when you buy MDS. Stampin' Up! want to get their name and their art out there so more people than ever before will know about Stampin' Up! You'll need to do the following:
Download it from iTunes or the App Store, share it with all your friends, and post a review! The more positive reviews it gets, the more prominent place it takes in the iTunes store.
Try it out!
This app is so much fun to play with. I made a cute mini page and sent it too my daughter!
Tilly was our house guest last week-end and I can't resist taking a picture of her when she is here!
So if you have an iPhone, have some fun with the pictures on your camera! Mary
Very Vanilla Christmas
Good day to all of you, hope your week is going well. Boy, it's hard believe that Thanksgiving is almost a upon us! This year has really gone way too fast!
Today I would like to share a card that I made after seeing this one HERE Oh my what a beautiful card Amy made too! Now I don't have this stamp set and die, but my upline, Chanda, was kind enough to send me some images from her stamp set and she cut them out too! Thanks Chanda!! Oh, I just noticed that I didn't add the pearls to the card before I took the picture! If you go to the link I shared, you will see that the pearls really add alot to this card, so don't forget like me, lol! Anyway, I didn't have all of the same supplies, so I substituted red glimmer paper for ribbon, glimmer star and a different sentiment too.

All products are Stampin' Up!

Nativity Christmas Card
Well, I finally figured out my problem, yes, it was user error, oh well, when you have something new to learn, there is always a learning curve, right?!
Now this stamp is not a Stampin' Up! stamp, but I just love it! It is a Penny Black and I just really enjoy some of their stamps, especially the ones with the animals! Everything else is a Stampin' Up! product though, I hope you enjoy my simple card share for the day.
Stampin' Up! products used:
Stamp: Tiny Tags
Stampin up markers to color image with
blender pen: SU-retired
Card stock: Whisper White, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler
Embossing folder: is a retired one
Linen thread
Jewelry Tag punch
glue dots
Well, I'm on my way with my Christmas cards, I'm slowly putting a dent in my list, hope to be done by the early part of December too!
Have a crafty, stampy day! Mary

Bliss Thank You Card
Well, I'm back, at least for this week. Will have to ask my friend Linda, if I can hire her daughter to help me figure out this Piscasa program. Help Kimberly!!
Well I decided to take a small break from Christmas and make a thank you card. I used a retired stamp set called Bliss, it is so elegant. I used Marina Mist card stock, ribbon and ink on this card, love the color of it! I also fussy cut the butterfly out and added a couple of rhinestones to the body. The embossing folder I used is from the Delicate Designs Folders. I used the Itty Bitty Banners stamp and the Bitty Banners Framelits to cut out my thank you with. I just cut one of the banners in half to mount behind to help it to stand out some against the Whisper White card stock, then pop it up with a dimensional.
Well this is all for today, see you soon! Mary

Christmas Card-Dasher
Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I'm having trouble with my watermark program, still learning how to do, anyone have one that is easy to use? I think it is more user error than anything else.
Here is a card that I made last week. I like the stamp but I should have inked it up with some color. You can barely see it on here. I used Versamark ink to stamp the image, then some Heat and Stick, then some Dazzling Diamonds. On the Old Olive card stock I used the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark stamp pad and used a retired snowflake stamp set to add a little bit of interest. The pattern paper is called Festival of Prints out of the Holiday catalog. Oh I used the Label framelits and cut some red glimmer paper. Used Cherry Cobbler for the card base.
I've already got this card signed and in the envelope! As I make my different cards, I'm going to address and sign them, then come December all I have to do is put a stamp on it and send it out!
Oh, the stamp set sale that Stampin' Up! had on October 29th was a huge success, they sold approximately 193,000 stamp sets!!
Well, thanks for stopping by, hopefully I'll figure this watermark thing out, was doing fine with it and now having a problem. Hope you have a crafty day! Mary

Christmas Card
I hope you are all having a wonderful day so far it's turned off cold here, good day to stay in and play in the craft room!
Well, it's that time of the year again, trying to decide what design to do for my annual Christmas cards. It is kinda of fun, because I get to try different looks and then decide on my final one, or this year I just may shake it up and mail all different kinds out instead of just one! I CASE'd this card after seeing this card HERE. I really like how simple and elegant it is and I already have all the supplies on hand too except the ribbon. The ribbon I used is retired from Sale-A-Bration from last year. I did spray it with some homemade shimmer mist to give it some sparkle.
All products are from Stampin' Up!
Stamp set: Delightful Decorations and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card stock: Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler
Embossing folder: Holiday Frame
Punch: Ornament

Well this is my share with you today, hopefully I'll have some more to show you next week too! Have a great week-end..................Mary

Thanksgiving Invitations 2012
Well today, as promised, I'm going to share with you the invitations that I made for my daughter. She really, really liked them too! Now I was inspired to make the front like I did after seeing this card HERE. I really like Lee's card but didn't have any of the colors of card stock that she used, so that is when I made the packing paper leaves. My daughter really liked the Champagne glimmer paper for the acorn top and as you can see, I didn't put a button on either, didn't have any and I also wanted it to be mailed with one stamp to help her save some money. I used the Itty Bitty Label dies and part of a Itty Bitty Banners stamp but had to use part of another stamp for the sentiment, which is non-SU. I embossed the front panel with the new Woodgrain embossing folder and used Very Vanilla card stock. Oh and some linen thread too.
On the inside, I used a non-SU invitation stamp. The pumpkins and leaf are from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Autumn Leaves. I used markers, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Always Artichoke to color them in with. I like how the marker left lines in the pumpkins, it gives the pumpkins some dimension! Then I took some Early Espresso on a sponge and sponged the edges of the front and inside. The images on the inside where stamped with StaZ-on ink. You can find the directions HERE on how to make the leaves.
Well that is it for today, I had so much fun in the craft room making these and where really very easy to assemble once I had all the leaves and acorns made. Thank you for stopping by, have a crafty day, Mary

Autumn Leaves Out of SU Packing Paper
Now I took a small amount of the paper and tore it into strips. Did you now that it comes perforated? Yep it does, so I tore it into smaller strips and folded it over and I ran it thru the Big Shot with the new Autumn Accents Bigz Die. I was able to cut out eight leaves at one time, so it made quick work of this!
Next I lined up my Old Olive, More Mustard and Cajun Craze ink pads along with my sponges. You can see my stack of leaves.
First I sponged on some Old Olive in the center of the leave, you could use Always Artichoke, sponge on as much as you want. Then I sponged on some More Mustard next to and overlapping some onto the Old Olive and out to the edges of the leaves.
Next I sponged on some Cajun Craze, mainly on the outer parts of the leave.
Then turn your leave over and press it onto your Early Espresso ink pad, not a whole lot, just some. Then take and crumble up the leave and then uncrumble it. Then I sprayed it with homemade Glimmer mist made with rubbing alcohol and Champagne Mist Shimmer paint.
Here you can see all of my leaves are done and I'm letting the dry.As you can see, you will have some very inky fingers! I made these for some Thanksgiving invites for my daughter to send out. I was a fun project to do on a rainy, cold Saturday!
Now on Wednesday, I will share with you the invites that I made, so come on back to see them!!
Now if you don't have any packing paper you could use Kraft paper or even just your colored card stock if you are in a hurry and need a quick card.
Thanks for dropping in! Mary

Lovely as a Tree Sympathy Card
Good Monday morning to all of you! I hope that you are all off to the start of a great week ahead too.
Well, once again, I needed a sympathy card. I know, when is it going to end, huh. My friend, Linda, just recently loss her father, while we are sadden by his passing, he had a good long life and was one month shy of 91 years old. Now I saw a card similar to this one HERE. I did change it just a bit from the original. I didn't have any Cajun Craze card stock, so I made my own. How you wonder? Well, I started with Pumpkin Pie and then sponge on some Real Red ink with some Early Espresso sponge on too. Now it may not be an perfect match, but in a pinch, it comes pretty darn close. To make my mini brads black, I colored them with a black Sharpie.
Here is a list of the rest of the supplies I used, all Stampin' Up!
Card stock: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Soft Suede and Early Espresso
Stamp set: Lovely as a Tree and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Woodgrain embossing folder
scrap piece of First Edition Designer Series paper
Oval and Scallop punches
mini brads
sponges
dimensionals
blender pen

Gently Falling French Foliage
Happy Fall to all! I really like the cooler weather we have been having off and on here lately, makes me want to bake and cook, hubby will really like that, won't he!
Here is another card that I made when my cousin's was here last month visiting. I like fall so I decided to pull these two stamp sets out and try to make something nice with them. Now I should have started with Very Vanilla but grabbed some Whisper White, but it still worked out just fine. I used my Diagonal plate for my Simple Scored tool and made lines every inch and then did it again so the I got a criss-cross effect. Did some sponging with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink. Stamped my two bigger leaves with Soft Suede and than used my sponge daubers to apply Pool Party, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie to them and then fussy cut them out. For the smaller leaf, I applied the same colors directly to the stamp, huffed and stamp it and cut it out. The sentiment was stamped with a retired set called Hand-Penned Holidays. I made a bow with the Linen thread and used a glue dot to attach it to the cut out leaves. I also used dimensionals on the leaves to make them pop off the card more. The upper right hand corner I used the splatter and French writing that is in the French Foliage set.
Well that is all for this card and my time to stamp with my cousins only allowed me time to make two cards, sad. Would've liked for them to stay awhile longer but they had other people to visit with, so I had to be nice and share.
Hope to so you here again soon! Mary

Mary

Tart and Tangy Any Occasion Card
Happy middle of the week to you, hope you are all fine and having a wonderful day too!
As you know my cousins and aunt/uncle were here to visit, well of course we had to play in the craft room while they were here! My cousin Kathy likes to make cards too, whoo hoo!! I wanted her to play with my goodies while she was here, but she just wanted to watch, talk about pressure! So flying by the seat of my pants, I grabbed my Stripes embossing folder, brayer and Real Red ink pad and got to creating! I like how when you brayer ink onto your embossing folders you get all of these cool effects with them! This one reminds me of a tablecloth, how about you? So what to put with it, well I went with my retired stamp set, Tart & Tangy, still like this little set too! Of course black just seems to go with this red/white combo and then onto some Daffodil Delight to make it bright and cheery. We decided to leave the sentiment off, so it could be used for almost any occasion. Fast, easy and eye catching!
Thanks for dropping in to visit, I appreciate it so much, have a great day too! Mary

Hello Doily Thank You
Well I hope your week as gone well, love Friday's!!
A couple of my cousins came down for a visit and they also brought along my aunt and uncle too! Thanks Kathy and Laura for bringing them and coming too, I really enjoyed our time together with all of you!
I wanted to send them a thank you note and I had some of these already stamped and embossed, so this is the card that I came up with. I really like this stamp set, it's so pretty. I did a little bit of sponging to highlight the stamped image, makes it pops.
