Lovely as a Tree Welcome

Welcome to all of my blogging friends!  I'm so glad that you stopped in to visit with me today!

Here is a card that I made for a friend who recently moved into a new rental house.  Since he is a man I went to my most manly stamp set, Lovely As A Tree, Love It!!  This set has so many uses, I hope they don't retire it for quite awhile too!  Now I have a little story about this card, you see all of the lines on the front?  Well, right after I got all done with it, I was putting away my black ink pad and of course ole butter fingers had to drop it, with the ink side down, and it left a nice black line!  Oh my was the air blue in the craft room that night!!  I really didn't want to start all over as I needed it the next day, of course, so the idea just popped into my head that said, "just put some more lines on it to make it look rustic and old."  So that is what I did and after I was done it looked like I had planned it that way!  Whew!  Have any of you done that?  As a little gift we gave him some flowers and some tile coasters that I stamped too.

Ink: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Black Stazon

I think it looks great! In fact, the lines on the grass area could pass for shadows from the trees! Very cool!

Such a lovely card, and I love the creative way you "saved" it. I would never have thought it. It looks so planned! Awesome.
